Gym and Bar staff were excellant Reception when we booked in didnt speak or give any info at all - had trouble finding the heath club - signage would have been nice

A nice clean Hotel with good facillities, rooms were nice, we stayed in an executive room which was pleasant, has a mini bar, with dressing gown, slippers etc.We never made use of the pool as we were there for the races in Doncaster. Hotel is easy to reach off the motorway, so glad we stayed and would probably stay again if going to Doncaster area.Racecourse is about nine pound in a taxi ride away
The price for drinks and snacks at the Hotel was expensive, and there was not any pubs around to walk to.No sheltered area to go out for a cigarette, maybe thats why fire alarm went off at two in the morning, but we was'nt given a reason.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Excellent leisure facilities. Good value.
At front and noisy for about half an hour around midnight.

The whole package was very good and the retaurant was excellent, the food the staff 100%
air-con still not working in the large glass windowed rooms at the front, but the room was good anyhow.

Holiday Inn Doncaster A1(M) Jct 36, Doncaster - Reviews & Ratings"I was looking forward to being able to have my dinner without leaving the building.Although the staff were really nice unfortunately the meal wasn't.I did mention this and the manager came and apologised and gave us 15% discount and we also received a free drink as they dropped our meal and had to wait for another to be cooked.Saying all of the above the staff handled the situation extreamly well." The layout of the bedroom was quite compact but adequate,it was nice to have a bath in the bathroom as I'd had a strenuous day and enjoyed a long soak.
The carpet had a few stains,the bed didn't suite me,only slept for 4hrs.

The room was very spacious and the leisure facilities were excellent. The provision of a cot in our room and highchair in the restaurant was very helpful. The staff were all very helpful.
Having to carry our pushchair down quite a few stairs to get to the lift to take us to our room.

As a result I had to find alternative accomodation for the remainder of my stay which is unfortunate as the Holiday Inn could have had the benefit of my custom for 4 nights at a reduced rate or try to entice other travellers to stay at double the rate I was charged." Quiet comfortable setting close to main roads. The room was small even for a single room but it was clean with modern furnishings.
Although I received confirmation of my booking when I checked-in they had no record of my booking. The Receptionist was helpful when I arrived but if the hotel had been full I wonder what may have happened. Due to this I will not book on-line again with Holiday Inn. When I requested additional nights stay I was informed I would be charged more than DOUBLE my forst night's stay.

The food was good and staff helpful towards my Gluten-free dietary requirements, however the toaster is not the best type for Coeliacs as neither is the drinks machine for tea & coffee (these are not necessarily gluten-free in the milk powder)." Clean, well-maintained and well appointed with storage space.
Telephone had a red flashing light throughout our stay. The TV had a flashing standbye light. The air conditioning not operable. No towel rail in the bathroom. No main overhead light in the room.

And just 10 minutes straight into Doncaster. The setting takes the breath away. And the hotel itself will do the same. The facilities are magnificent and for those who attach great importance to breakfast being the most important meal of the day, this could not be bettered. Neither could the service in the restaurant. A comfortable bed ensures a good night sleep and ready for the trials and tribulations of the next day." (3305152745)
The ambience and the facilities were excellent as was the room and the helpfullness of the attendants in the breakfast area
The late arrival was perpetuated by a double tyre blow out, so I did not appreciatehaving to wait at least 15 minutes to check in because there was no one on the front desk. When we were let down the following day, and indeed on the Saturday by the next venue, the hotel were phoned and asked for the same rate and we were told that we would have to book online, which was a great pity since we did not have internet access in the car or anywhere else for that matter.

It was a very hot day and the use of a larger fan would have been appreciated as the fan in the room was a tiny plastic one that blew hardly any air. We hardly slept as the room was so hot!! Also someone to help carry our bags up a flight of stairs would have helped, my husband injured his foot the day before we arrived & I had to wrestle our bags upstairs one at a time( the receptionist at the desk watched me but offered no help!!) Not the friendliest hotel i have ever been in!!" (3305015006)

Clean and good size room.
Unable to provide room service on time, despite telling reception it was important that it was on time 6.30am, due to time of train that I had to catch. Breakfast was 10 minutes late, barely warm, no butter, rolls stale.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite and the room was of a high standard.
The air conditioning wasn't yet working and the floor to celing windows made the room very uncomfortable in the heat!

I did not. It was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. For £100/night I expect a room that I can at least work in. This one was too small to even swing a cat! Travel lodge seems like the Dorchester in comparison!

Convenient location
Cleanliness poor, there was a piece of chicken on the floor outside my room at 6pm on the day of my arrival, it was still there at 9am the next day. I ordered a club sandwich in the coffee bar, it took 50 min's to arrive, when I pointed out it was stone cold, the waitress said Right and took the plate away. the same sandwich came back a couple of min's later. It had been microwaved.

The room was excellant, and everything i needed was available.
Service at Breakfast was very poor, no clean tables or cutlery. Had to wait for everything.
