Hotel Portoconte, Fertilia - Reviews & Ratings"This was our second stay at Hotel Porto Conte and we chose to come back again as we were familiar with the hotel, location and loved the view from our bedroom balcony overlooking the bay which is very pretty. It is only a 15 mins drive from the airport and 10 mins to Alghero town which provides good restaurants, bars and views for nights out. We would definately choose to return to Sardinia as we love it, it's very un-spoilt, the west coast has some amazing beaches which are easily accessible but we would probably choose a different hotel only for the reasons that we'd like to stay somewhere new probably in Alghero next time and just the fact that the rooms are just not sound-proofed. Other than that we had an excellent 4 night break." (48385106)
Location within 15 minutes drive of Alghero airport and location of hotel within the bay is a very pretty outlook. Smallish hotel so not too busy on the beach or at the bar, very clean and staff generally friendly.
The rooms do need to be up-dated quite drastically, very basic and decor dated. The adjoining rooms are noisy, so no sound-proofing. The beds are really quite uncomfortable too, but everywhere is very clean and the maid provided an excellent service.
