Grange Lodge, York - Reviews & Ratings"We enjoyed the stay, even getting used to the small size of the rooms. The 10 minute walk to/from York centre help to walk-off breakfast and the return trip did the same for dinner. Traffic in York is a nightmare so the free parking was very useful for limiting stress. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff and owners. Very well situated for exploring York. Free parking (for residents). The price was very reasonable for the rooms booked (see below)
Rooms were unexpectedly small, although storage space was more than adequate. We should have bookled the De Luxe Double room; more expensive but very comfortable.

Warm wellcome and exelent service from Sarah, the lady landlord.
Breakfast quiet not good,sausage is over done, not many chioces.

nice breakfast and coffee, nice couple owner.
wouldn't recommend to walk from the train station, especially in a cold weather. The taxi dropped us at Grange Hotel which is a block away from Grange Lodge.

The directions were easy to follow and I found the B&B without any trouble. The situation was ideal so I was able to walk into the city centre, leaving the car parked outside the B&B.

Welcoming; very small single but 'perfectly formed' - good bed, very pleasant, newly decorated room with lovely new en-suite. Good breakfast and pleasant host. Parking included, which is important in city like York.
