  The location is splendid and we loved the Northunberland area and Newcastle!!! Jesmond Dene is somethling worth the trip, we had no idea it existed or what it was. We loved, loved it!!!! the fact an Indian take away with wonderful, wonderful food and prices was just steps away-- what a wonderful experience.

  "Generally an ok stay - had a lovely weekend in Newcastle but was a bit disappointed with the room considering the price." (107826720)

  Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was lovely - homecooked food made to order. Good location and easily accessible.

  I stayed in a single ensuite room but did not expect the shower and toilet to be actually in the room with me! Have never experienced an ensuite quite like it!

  "Good location for visiting Newcastle, staff helpful and warm. I had a large room, which was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfasts were good, they catered well for a vegeratarian. Ideal for lone travellers, as it feels like a private house and is located in a safe area." (107788719)

  The woman was very rude on the telephone upon arriving.

  "The owner announced on our arrival that they were putting the property on the market the following week - perhaps they just no longer cared about customer satisfaction. " (107135026)

  A convenient area Looked fine from the outside

  Inadequate storage for clothes - delapidated furniture feeble shower / tiny basin the cooked breakfast was inedible, fried eggs obviously overcooked in oil that was insufficiently hot - following complaint the replacement ones were just as awful.

  Nobody on reception to check in, no room available, emergency numbver to call spoke to a person whho sepnt the next 10 mins complaining.
