  great friendly guesthouse,breakfast really nice (even toast was hot when served).room small but very clean would book again.

  "Perfect for what I wanted for just one night. Having shared bath/toilet facilities not comfortable for a woman on her own, was a bit daunting in the middle of the night. Other than that a very relaxed stay" (107213727)

  Ideal for a one night stay, breakfast was very good. Staff/owners were all very friendly and relaxed. Location was good.

  Not the fault of the hotel as such but it is rather a long walk from the centre of Cardiff particularly if you have bags. I would recommend the bus service which has a stop right at the front of the hotel. As I was a solo female traveller I would have preferred en suite

  Very good staff people, warm and friendly. Very clean hotel. Very cheap too.

  A bit old fashioned, but for such a low-price hotel that is really fine.

  "Would always stay there again much better & cleaner than the big City Hotels" (107218622)

  Exceptionally clean rooms & bathroom. Owner & staff very welcoming & friendly. Bus is right outside door & goes to City Centre every 5-10mins for 1.40 or is about a 12 min walk.

  We found the staff very friendly and the room clean and tidy,we would return to the hotel if in the area.

  Could not book a second night because fully booked.

  owner extended another guests stay when we tried to book in she had farmed us out to another hotel called the cardiff, i would not have let my dog stay there it was in poor condition the roomwas well below standard and the bathroom stank, we explaind to the owner it was not what we wanted and stayed else were, only to find they had debited our account for

  "Hotel was clean, comfortable and adequate for the purpose. Very good value for money. " (107172952)

  Friendly, helpful and attentive owners and staff. Good atmosphere.

  Hotel is on a busy main road, easy for car access but noisy for sleeping, especially in a front bedroom.

  We actually stayed at the Cardiff Hotel and not at the Tanes hotel though we had booked at the Tanes hotel. When booking I had booked by error a double room. I phoned immmediately to change it into a twin room. I was said OK but we slept in a double room.

  good breakfast for carnivore owner (Mrs Thane) was very attentive bed very comfortable

  shower was very cold and not very easy to use. décore was very dated some refurbishment taking place during our stay no vegetarian option for the breakfast as such although they did ask what was wanted but nothing proferred
