As a business traveller, I found the free internet access a great bonus.
On my second day, after my room had been cleaned, I found that my large shower towel and drinking glasses had been removed as dirty, but not replaced with clean ones. This situation, however, was not repeated on the third morning.

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"We where upgraded from Klop to Center Hotel Tingholt so we have never been to Hotel Klop. Hotel Thingholt was wery nice and trendy, and we had a greate weekend. It would have been nice to know the size of the room before we arrived. Anyway the next time we are going to Iceland we would stay at Center Hotel Tingholt." (99600438)
Wery nice and trendy.
The TV system did not work proporly and the room was a bit small and we would have liked to have a place to sit down other than the bed.

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"Well situated in city center. Reliable but neutral service, could be a little bit more of smile. Small room with great window with a great view, but allows nightly noise disturb. Good breakfast." (3304661868)
Well situated in city center close to shopping and clubbing. Good space for clothes in the room.
Room was quite small, too much furniture in a little room. Soft bed. I would have waited better welcome when arriving late/early in the morning back to hotel after clubbing. Street noise disturbs at night.

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is located right downtown, where it's easy to walk to all attractions. The staff was helpful and the rooms were nice and clean. My single room was toward the back of the hotel, and on Friday and Saturday nights, the music from a nearby bar could be heard clearly from about midnight to 3 or 4 a.m. If you're the type who is out clubbing, this won't bother you, but if you're not much for clubbing, like me, the loud music made it difficult to sleep." (3304074596)
The staff was wonderful. Very helpful. Also, the rooms were clean and nice.

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"Great location, friendly staff. But my TV barely worked, the phone worked only occassionally, there was no remote control for the TV, the refrigerator was barely cool, and the room (503)smelled awful. I could compare my room to my two other travelling companions who each had their own room and I found that mine was the poorest of the bunch. Theirs however had problems as well." (2880177)
Location to areas of interest downtown
Working order of the facilities. My TV barely worked, the phone worked occassionally, there was no remote control for the TV, the refrigerator was barely cool, and the room smelled awful.

Very clean and tidy rooms. Excellent location. Great service from the front desk people.
Better internet access. The phone in my hotel did not work. It would ring but then when I picked it up I could not speak or hear the person on the other end of the line.

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"Klopp was a great experience in Reykjavik, and would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect if you're planning on going to restaurants, bars, clubs -- they're all within 1-4 blocks' walking distance. The staff was helpful in informing us about New Year's celebrations, and helpful with booking excursions, rental cars, etc. The rooms are small if you're used to American hotels; but normal if you're used to European hotels. The bathroom in my room was a bit odd, but everything worked and cleaning and maintenance was good." (2881325)
Location, location, location
The free high speed internet in the rooms was down on two different days... They should train the desk clerks on how to fix it.

central location. Quiet. Free acces to internet. Smokefree
internet connection located behind big wardrobe, and desk &chair blocking bathroom entrance.

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"It was very good, the hotel was very central as described. It was clean comfortable, warm and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a problem with a bathroom window that would not close on the first night, which I packed with towles to reduce the wind blowing in. It was reported the following morning andattended to during the day. With the window now closed the room was able to warm to a comfortable temprature." (1631094)
Good value clean and comfortable

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was in a very convenient central location, just right for shops, restaurants, city centre, transport, and museums. All of this was within ten minutes walk of the hotel. All of the staff were helpful and spoke English. We felt very comfortable in the hotel and appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast was good and there were refreshments constantly available. What we would also have appreciated would have been a direct collection from the airport to the hotel and return to airport as part of the package." (1420182)
Friendly and helpful staff.
Room should have had rear external curtains as well as mid room ones.

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel is well situated in centre of town although a little noisy towards the weekend. Buffet breakfast is good and convenient for excursions. Staff are helpful with local directions but not so well equipped when dealing with complaints. They need to appear pleased when given the opportunity to hear of a customer complaint (as one would expect in the UK)." (1601254)
Excellent central location.
Staff response is diffident compared to UK hotels, e.g. when reporting a fault with hair dryer

CenterHotel Klopp, Reykjavik - Reviews & Ratings"The location and staff of the hotel were both excellent. The booking process was easy. However, Iceland is very expensive, comparable to New York City and in the US, a person could have 4-star accomodations for the same price as a 3-star Iceland hotel. My only complaints are that the windows of the hotel need to be cleaned or replaced, and that the floor in the bathroom is made of slate and incredibly cold to walk on. The rooms could be updated to a more modern standard. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet, and the staff were very nice." (1454578)
very friendly, professional service from staff
the windows were a bit dirty and obscured the view to the outside

very good location in the centre of the town, shopping street, some attractions, information centres, bus top - all within walking distance from hotel. staff very friendly and helpful
we were a bit unlucky with room which faced to the street where pub with live music was situated - this can be sometimes quite disturbing
