Nice ocean view, nice location next to a castle, good breakfast in the hotelroom, shower was excellent and the bed was great
Some repairwork was done in the next room and a bit too much drilling. Noise was anoying.

The outside of the building seemed very dated but this was soon made up when you walked into the reception area and the rooms are excellent value for money.

Mercure Dieppe La Présidence, Dieppe - Reviews & Ratings"although initially unimpressed with the reception staff when we arrived (they were outside having a cigarette - looked at us and continued smoking) we found the staff nice and friendly, the room was good and we were delighted to find tea/coffee making facilities in the room.We had a rear facing room which was wonderfully quiet, would stay here again. Hot water in the shower was a bit erratic!

very modern looking hotel seemed clean
at a hotel like this I expected hot water, I had two cold showers staff appeared unable to resolve the issue. the breakfast in bed option was very poor and not worth the money

Comfortable with good service. Additonal pleasure of having entertainment liad on in the hotel. Convenience of the position of the hotel in the town.
Resent having to pay for car parking. The hotel should provide reasonable parking and this should be free or they should direct you to free parking.

The restaurant was good also. We were surprised to find no washcloths available in the bathroon, but everything else needed was present. Closets were more than adequate and useful. Fighting for space at the beach is hard work !! The room service was excellent. Reception staff were very helpful" (3304741582)

Good size room
Very, very noisy outside. Room was hot so had to have the windows open. Heard loud traffic and loud voices out on street all through the night.

the only fault was the secure parking as we went down and the door was open in the evening and still the same next day and you had to pay for secure parkin but it was not secure ?

Mercure Dieppe La Présidence, Dieppe - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was ideal for our requirements. It is very conveniently situated between the sea front and the main shopping area with many bars and small restaurants and a fine market on Saturday. The Sarajevo bar/restaurant is worth a visit. The building of the new swimming pool and health centre does detract from the front access. Diverted traffic seems to be using the road in front of the hotel. Noise in the early hours was a problem at the weekend - very loud music on one night and Casino clients(?) talking about their varied experiences in front of the hotel. Parking space at the front is very limited and hotel parking at 6.50 per day is expensive. Reduced charges ought to be offered to the longer stay guest. The hotel restaurant is quite good although for a week's stay offers a somewhat limited menu. A la carte can be expensive (and the wines particularly so). A more extensive fixed price menu that changes more frequently and with quality house wines would have been appreciated. The only criticism of the accomodation is that the shower is badly positioned - sideways on in the bath with no shower curtain." (2714704)
Our room 208 is right at the front of the hotel and is spacious with a large window providing a fine view of the sea and the interesting building site in the foreground.
In room tea/coffee making equipment would have been appreciated. The hotel bar should be open at lunchtime.

we had a lovely stay in dieppe, the town is lovely and the people are nice. the hotel was beautiful and the underground parking was handy but it could do with a few extra lights. the staff were mainly lovely except for one or two who seemed to lack basic tact.

Please note all staff should converse with English tourists in French unless it is obvious we need help, otherwise we never get a chance to practice and we are lazy. It didn't bother us but some people might prefer to know there is a major building workings right opposite the hotel ( a new swimming pool complex) including a 50 metre high crane ! The one drawback was the noise of late night party'ers on their way home. I sleep like a log and they made enough noise to wake me up a few times in the night. This had nothing to do with the hotel, this would happen anywhere, but just know that the sea side view does have its drawbacks." (2601857)

It was recommended to us by friends that also stay here on a regular basis. When booking all information regarding the hotel was provided, however it would have been nice to know on this occaision that there was building work on the new hydrotherapy centre going on right outside of our room window. Check-in process could have been more comprehensive and detailed. Front desk could have explained what hotel amenities are available (restaurant? parking? other?) and where to find them instead of assuming that we would find them on our own. A basic map of the city with location of the hotel would have been useful too.

there was alot of noise till about 2.00am from other residents staying in the hotel, they were Americans
