  Excellent location and value. Room was beautiful.

  When paying I was given a bill in pounds as opposed to euros, assuming the exchange rate they quoted was accurate for the day (I've never experienced this sort of transaction before). It was actually 2.75% higher. Admittedly my fault as I didn't read the receipt carefully enough, but just to warn future guests. It was still excellent value.

  The hotel was better than we expected and very very clean.

  Trying to find the hotel was hard.

  We were a bit nervous booking on line but the hotel, staff, location and amenities were excellent and I have already recommended the hotel to some of my friends.

  None. Everything went perfectly to plan.

  Wonderful location, unbelievable value for the price of the room, terrific ammeneties, especially the bathtub! Loved it!

  It was a little difficult to find the hotel, not as bad as some of the others we stayed at, but a few more details on how to find the hotel would have been helpful. Not a bad point really, but it would have been nice to have had access to some coffee in the morning.

  "This hotel was once a residence; that is part of the reason it is let out for such a good price. It is co-owned by two very friendly Italians who speak adequate English and who are extremely accommodating. We even had a mix-up with our scheduled dates and they rearranged them for us without charging us anything extra. Overall, the stay was great. " (97545694)

  Gorgeous bathroom, very clean rooms, very friendly and helpful owner. The location is absolutely unbeatable. We were literally a five minute walk from San Marco, but tucked away on a street that was quiet and private. For the price....this value was hard to believe. We felt safe, comfortable, clean, and had plenty of space. Speaking with other guests, we realized that this hotel is truly a remarkable find for the quality, location, and price. We would recommend this hotel to any of our friends headed to Venice.

  You must check in before 6 pm; otherwise there isn't anyone onsite to help out. If stranded after 6 pm, you can go to the Hotel Ala and ask for assistance. It's a good idea to bring the address of the Hotel Ala just in case of a plane delay and an unexpected arrival after 6 pm.

  "Fantastic couldn't have asked for a better hotel - you are never quite sure what you are going to get when you book online or if the photos have been doctored but Residence ae Ostreghe was perfect and exactly as described - would recommend it to anyone." (97396209)

  the room was immaculate, clean and airy with air conditioning(free) and a mini bar. The bathroom was spotless with new Ideal Standard fixtures. Very quiet but right in the centre of Venice what more could we ask for?

  only a small request but please add directions - even if you say it is to the side of the restaurante Rafaelle it would have been easier to find.
