Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Excellent value for money in a convenient area. Excellent staff, especially the receptionist" (107598684)
Excellent receptionist - very pleasant and helpful. Gave me the choice of a room with bath or shower
none really - fairly basic rooms but clean and airy. Simple breakfast but good value

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Though advertised in some places as in the Notting Hill district of London the Garden Court is really in the Bayswater district, one tube stop north of Notting Hill Gate. The main street nearby, Queensway, is always bustling, with numerous restaurants and perhaps a dozen different cuisines. The street the hotel is on is relatively quiet, and the whole area invites walks. I wish we had had time to explore the nearby parks." (97401672)
Extremely friendly staff, responsive to every request; flat-screen TVs; hair-dryers; modern, quiet elevator; well-heated rooms; wake-up service.
No way to control the heater in individual rooms; shower very cramped; no washcloths; no clocks; wake-up service rings ten minutes early.

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Overall the experience was quite pleasant. The hotel was easy to find. Maybe a little over-priced but clean comfortable and staff and guests were friendly and helpful." (97433710)
Very clean. very comfortable and very quiet. Close to excellent not too expensive restaurants
The shower was a bit lop-sided but functioned adequately if not ideally. You had to pay extra for cooked breakfast which I think should have been included in the price which was not cheap

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"We would have liked to know that a triple room consisted of a double and a single bed rather than 3 separate beds. Apart from that, it was a lovely hotel with spacious rooms and all the amenities required." (97582174)
very clean and modern
it was a bit noisy, with loud conversations audible from the room above

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"We stayed for two nights (Sept. 27 & 28) and had an extremely small room. We then left for two nights, and returned for one night (Oct. 1) and had a much nicer, larger room. The hotel was generally what we expected, but seems over-priced compared to similar hotels in other parts of Europe -- but I understand that London hotels are very expensive all round. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The internet room/lounge was very nice and handy, and the one pound charge for internet seems very reasonable." (97943204)
Friendly, helpful staff; good location, handy to Tube station
Very small room.

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Good value for money in a pleasant part of reasonably central London. Did get an en-suite room with double bed, for price of a single basic, so this increased my satisfaction level!" (99855789)
Nice area, clean hotel, very friendly staff.

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"This was my third stay. I was happy to see many nice improvements, including the installation of a much needed elevator and a computer for guest use. My room was very clean and quiet. All plumbing and fixtures were in good working order. The room temp was nice and cozy even though it was cold with snow on the ground. I enjoyed the sitting room downstairs for readind while sipping complimentary tea or hot chocolate. The staff was always accessible and vey helpful. I will continue to stay here on following trips." (99519174)
Very friendly staff, good location in a fairly quiet area. Close to shops, restaurants and the tube.

Good location
Lady who checked us in was not welcoming at all at first. We had to work hard to engagae her or even get her to smile -bad customer service. Young lady from NZ who check us out of the hotel had a fabulous service approach - so diod the ladies looking after breakfast - this is how servcie should be.

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"This hotel is excellently located for the visitor to London, in a quiet & beautiful square yet close to tube station, restaurants & shops. It has a limited range of facilities (1 smallish sitting-room, 1 dining-room serving breakfast only). The rooms are pleasant and well-maintained. The staff are amiable & helpful. Given its location, I think it offers exceptional value for money." (3006194)
Good value; pleasant & helpful service
It might consider offering a greater variety in the breakfast menu.

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"I would definitely recommend staying here. The only downside I had was being on a floor where it seemed the other three rooms (there were only four rooms on the floor) were all booked to a group staying together. As a result, these rooms had a somewhat open door" (2085353)
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was also a great deal for accommodations in London.

Garden Court Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"I've stayed here several times over the past 10 years--great location near two tube stations (Bayswater and Queensway) and close to Paddington train station (connecting train to Heathrow airport) as well as to busy Bayswater district, and within walking distance of Kensington Gardens Park, Portobello Road Market, and Notting Hill district. Always very clean with attentive staff. The hotel has recently been revamped with a lift/elevator to the upper floors. On this visit, our room had all-new paint, plumbing, and furniture. The staff responded quickly to requests for extra pillows and an extra key. One note: expect a continental-style breakfast (tea/coffee, toast, yogurt, fruits, cereal) rather than the traditional English breakfast. You can pay extra for bacon/eggs as desired." (2081765)

Prettig hotel, mooi en rustig maar toch centraal gelegen. Kamers net gerestaureerd, waren schoon en netjes. Vriendelijk personeel.
Badkamer klein. Ontbijt mag iets royaler.

bon petit dejeuner, accueil sympathique, hotel tres chalereux.
Difficile a trouver, mal indique dans les directions et las plans, pas d'aeration dans les chambres (etouffant le nuit, et buee lord de la douche), prix legerement excessif quoique normal pour londres

"Good experience overall, but it was just one night and my needs were limited." (108352319)
Clean and quiet, good value for money. Good TV system and good security locks on doors
Tatty in places - broken wardrobe door, missing bedside light bulb. Second pilllow would have been good for sitting in bed to watch TV Room Slightly smelly despite being clean
