Once upon a Tyne, South Shields - Reviews & Ratings"Had to help ourselves to breakfast - laying table - making toast which set off fire alarm - very poor decoration and owners almost unfriendly. Breakfast very poor - toast or cereal- milk in bottle etc. Fire alarm had seemingly gone off day before as toaster wasn't popping up." (99286916)
The hotel was reasonably clean
Service terrible - hardly saw owners - they handed us the key and that was all the communication we had with them

VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, COMFORTABLE ACCOMODATION, FRIENDLY HOSTS
SOME OF FIXTURES AND FITTINGS A LITTLE DATED, OPTION OF COOKED BREAKFAST WOULD BE NICE (EVEN IF AT EXTRA COST)

Nice building, good location, great staff
terrible blinds that do not keep the light out. Very steamy bathroom that you must keep the door closed for otherwise it sets off the very sensitive fire alarms. Mouldy pancakes in the breakfast bread bin.
