Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, the reception,restaurant and bar area are very well furnished and attractive. We particularly enjoyed the gardens and the pretty courtyard and fountain outside the hotel. The spa facilities were excellent, and the restaurant served up very tasty food, and one of the most delicious cheese boards I have tasted in a long time! The breakfast was superb- lots of choice. I would also mention the peace and quiet of the room, it was a very tranquil and romantic setting.
My only bad experience was that of check in - the girl behind reception didn't smile once and seemed very brusque. Other than that, the other staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a little in need of refurbishment, but the hotel are aware of this and it didn't affect the comfort of our stay in any way.

Poor staff,they lacked direction and could not use their common sense and there seemed to be too many of them! lousy dining room - impersonal and v noisy

Very good value (at this time) with nice pool etc. Free wifi available at hotspot, but could do with extending to cover all rooms.
booked very easy on internet with sponsored link on google maps,,, but Hotel had no record of booking when I arrived. However, did not cause any problems.

Now I know what to expect, I will stay again but ensure that I eat elsewhere." (107761807)
The hotel's location was superb and the grounds were great for exercising the dog.
Food was not up to scratch: food served differed from description on menu and was overpriced. My husband is currently using crutches but we were told we'd be charged extra for a disabled access room.

Shower didnt work properly, and hotel cannot be 4 Star these days and not have internet access in room. You need WiFi.

Moved to alternative room that was very nice but loud dripping water noise all night. Breakfast room was completely filled with dirty crockery and had to sit at a table set for 6 to avoid tables with dirty crockery. Not impressed with this at all." (99490128)

Lovely setting and grounds.
Room decor was functional but very tired and in need of a refresh. Room was lit using only standard lamps which could not be switched on from the doorway.

Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa, Newport - Reviews & Ratings"I didn't have a very good night sleep at all. My room (no 47) was in one of the out buildings and was on the ground floor. I could hear every step that the person in the room above me made, every turn in their bed i could hear, when they went to the toilet, the cistern was etremley noisy too. I managed to get all of 4hours sleep as there was always noises from either the room abpve or the bolier/heating etc." (99728213)

Warm, friendly, relaxed. Staff very helpful, polite and welcoming. Nice food. Beautiful grounds. Excellent gym/spa facilities. Would come again.
