Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"An excellent family hotel - staff very polite and willing to help. " (107782246)
spacious family room - used four singles beds which is lovely when staying with 1 adult and 3 teens, (2 girls, 1 boy). Breakfast although an added extra was extremely well cooked and of very good quality.
Our room was next to the main room and very noisy at night from passing lorries. Bathroom floor very slippery when wet, my 12 year old climbing out of the bath slipped straight over.

Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"Overall a very pleasent friendly hotel, and good value for money!" (107855877)
The room was lovely clean and cosy, The staff were very friendly and helpful, bar facility great being open all night.
The parking is a bit of a nightmare but staff were really good sorting it out for us just leave your keys at reception and they will deal with it for you. The cost of the breakfast is a bit expensive in comparison to the cost of the room, so we had breakfast out it was a lot cheaper.

Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"Disappointing. If I had paid the full price I would have made a fuss at the time, but did not want to spoil what otherwise had been a good stay as we like Tonbridge Wells and enjoyed the show. Would not stay here again and would not recommend it." (107463630)
The Reception staff were very friendly and efficient
The advertised four poster bed was a large divan with drapes held up by two very insecure posts at the foot of the bed and the bath screen did not stop the shower water spilling onto the floor and I therefore ended up soaking up water with the towels. Reported when we left. The breakfast was cold and they ran out of sausages. When more coffee was ordered the request was ignored. There were only three tables being used at the time so they were not rushed off their feet. General standard poor. This was the Bridal Suite and had I been a new bride I would have been very disappointed.

Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"Good value for a hotel with character." (107445739)
Good value, friendly staff, good breakfast. Central for the Town.
A lot of stairs to the room and rattly windows in the wind.

Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"Excellent central location right in the heart of the old town. Good, clean and comfortable room. Bit of noise from the pub, as you would expect from being in the centre. I would stay again." (107973831)
Well decorated, four poster room overlooking the pantiles. Very clean, nice imformal atmosphere.
No Restaurant service that night, a Saturday, but lovely wine bar/Bistro a couple of doors away. The ground floor pub was noisy until the early hours but it was a wet Saturday in Wells!

The situation of this hotel is excellent if a little noisy at night.
Our room was nicely appointed but in need of refurbishment. Parts of the wallpaper had come off and the bathroom definitely needed updating - the washbasin was cracked, the plastic wallcovering needed replacing also.

Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"Initial impression was disappointing, hotel looked run down and the receptionist at check in was not very welcoming. My room was ok, needed refurbishing with wallpaper coming away from the wall. Evening meal was average at best, I would recommend eating out if you decide to stay here. The only plus point was that the breakfast was good. I will look elsewhere when next in the area." (97628499)
Good Breakfast
Hotel needs refurbishment

Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"The staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meal I chose was good value and nicely served. I'd have liked to know that I had a room at the front of the hotel as it was overlooking the main road, and could have been noisy. In fact because it was a cold and wet night, I did not wish to open the window, so slept OK, but had it been summer or warm, I might have found this a problem. The hotel was clean and the main areas were bright. The corridors seemed 'tired' and a bit gloomy." (97199979)
Easy to find; parking; wi-fi easily accessible in my room.
No chair to sit at dressing table in order to use it as a desk. There was a chair with arms but it wouldn't fit between the bed and the dressing table. In a room marketed as a single executive room, I would have expected to be able to work easily at a desk

Swan Hotel, Tunbridge Wells - Reviews & Ratings"breakfast very good, but evening meal menue not much choice, could be a lot better, a pity as the staff were very helpfull friendly, even to carrying our cases from the car ( with a difficult road to cross), & back to the car on our departure. However we came from France & enjoyed our stay, very much, due to the good atmosphere in the hotel." (97843937)

Location is very central. Breakfast service and food were very good.
Decoration and soft furnishings could do with an update. WiFi connection could be made more secure.

"This hotel has lots of character and is in a great location above the lovely bars and restaurants and some shops and a 10/15min walk into the main shopping area, our room was not to noisy as located in the middle of the hotel and had about 9 different flights of stairs to get to it which kept us fit! We did have problems with the shower as it was not very warm. The staff were very helpful and the parking was opposite the hotel with spaces available, our room was really nice with a comfortable bed, I would recommend this hotel but take your ear plugs as could be noisy depending on where your room was." Hotel had lots of character, room was a nice size, comfortable bed, parking available,
Shower was cold, quite noisy.
