We found the whole place to be beautifully decorated and presented and the proprietor was both friendly, helpful and professional. The food was first class and the whole experience was one we shall be happy to repeat.

B&B sign at roadside is too near the junction leading up to the house; we were almost past before we realised that this was our destination.

Pat's warm gracious welcome set the tone for a truly delightful stay. My beautifully appointed room was spacious and held a king bed dressed with exquisite bed linen. All possible comforts are catered for, fluffy towels, snacks and a thoughtful bedside carafe of sherry. Breakfast was delicious, a real Scottish breakfast of locally sourced produce cooked to perfection. Balyett more than stands up to its 4 star rating." (107967224)

Very child-friendly and relaxed
Booking initially looked like it hadn't gone through and so we booked somewhere else.However after a couple of hours we had a confirmatory e-mail to say it had been booked and so we had to phone and cancel our second booking.

My front room overlooked the bay and Balyett is set in beautiful countryside. Lovely walk into town. Would highly recommend Balyett and would stay again if im in the area." (107438715)
The staff were polite, the rooms clean and comfortable. The Full Scottish breakfast was superb, and well worth staying just for that.

Balyett Bed And Breakfast, Stranraer - Reviews & Ratings"As we were going to Ireland by the HSS it was necessary to spend a night in Stranrear. We looked up a search engine and come up with Ballyett. We booked on line. We were late, and rang them to tell then that we would not get there at the time that we thought and they were very pleasant. There was a clean, comfortable room and in the morning a good breakfast. Highly recomended." (2991357)

What a find - I can't recommend Balyett highly enough. Such a beautiful spot yet so easy to get into town.
