Lincoln House Hotel - Central London, London - Reviews & Ratings"The new website gives us much of the information we might have liked to know, since it's quite complete. For instance, we were delighted to find that there were great alternatives to the English breakfast, such as a continental breakfast for our early checkout on the morning of our flight, and wonderful yogurt and other vegetarian choices. It would have just confirmed our choice to stay there. We were also happy to find wireless internet and a public computer. We expected small rooms, so that wasn't a disappointment or surprise, but the heat was very oppressive, and unfortunately, we, the grandparents who paid the bill for all three rooms, were in the hottest room with no air cooler and a refrigerator that didn't really work. In such heat, we would suggest an air cooler in every room. Although the shower rooms were small, they were very modern and clean. Beds were comfortable. Do be prepared for stairs and no lift! Luckily, we are still able to climb stairs, but it would have been a problem for some people our age (70 and 78). The staff is great, the breakfast is ample and wonderful with many choices. The location cannot be beat -- a safe quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Marble Arch, Oxford Street, many fine, small restaurants, buses to everywhere in London. This is a great find for a budget traveller!" (3304518469)
The location is wonderful, the hotel public areas are charming, breakfast is excellent, staff is great.
It was very hot and only one of our three rooms had an air cooler. One refrigerator did not really work very well.

Lincoln House Hotel - Central London, London - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel was very good for the cost in central London. Only real critisism was the size of room and shower, but this wasn't really a problem as we were out most of the time. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast menu was more than adequate and served pleasantly and in good time." (3304266698)
Closeness to the city. Helpful and pleasant staff. Comfortable bed.
Room was small. Toilet and shower facilities though clean and well maintained was also very small.

Clean, good amenities, lighting, sink, mirrors.
Only one - the bathroom was so small that if you sat on the loo your feet were in the shower!

Lincoln House Hotel - Central London, London - Reviews & Ratings"a great sleep-over with everything you need, in a central location and a decent price." (97587962)
we came to spend a night in london after a few days in paris and found the hotel room really coasy with everything you need (towels, soaps, mini-fridge, tv, coffee pot with everything, etc). it's a two minute walk from oxford st. and a few minutes away there's even a supermarket. overall: great for a sleep-over.
the bathroom is a like an airplain's bathroom only a bit larger with a shower. could have been better/worse.
