"An extremely soothing and welcoming feeling. The hotel was worth the 99 pounds," (107231526)

The apartment was quiet and private. It had 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, plus a wide hallway with a sofa to sit on. All 3 rooms had TVs, coffee makers, etc. A family of 5 or even two families of 3 could easily share this space. The staff were brilliant, happy and polite.

I would have liked to stay in a room that was actually inside the primary building, instead of a later add-on. All we did was check in to the main building, then go back out and around to the side. Booking online with the 2 kids didnt seem to work well for me. Would have prefered a smaller room with cots rather than a full apartment, but this option was not allowed. Though, in hindsight, the space came in handy so we could re-pack our bags to board a ryanair flight early the next morning.

    "It was lovely" (97315916)

quiet, very appealing room, yummy breakfast, convenient location. Staff most accommodating!

No steward available when we first arrived for breakfast, and it looked as though all tables were reserved.

    "A good experience" (108053734)

Reception staff extremely helpful - nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent. Our one meal in the evening was very good. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.

Just the shower room door was a bit broken.

"Good value for money in the area. Large spacious room. Happy staff." (97387345)

Friendly, helpful staff. Good car park facilities. Tidy. Generous English breakfast service.

Not so much bad as the place is beginning to show its age; a bit fray at the edges. Could do with updating decorative order, in particular, lighting which at present is fluorescent and a bit functional and dull.

    More character than a Raddisson

Breakfast could have been a little more extensive

"1. Good parking facilities for our stopover 2. Adequate 3* accomodation for our requirements (except for the springs in the mattress) 3. Food adequate, wish the toast could be ordered when seated at your breakfast table (I hate dry cold toast, but hey, that's just me) 4. Checked-in's x 2, both very early of the hours of the morning, with ease and no problems, check out was also good." (99168254)

Good parking facilities while we were away and use of the hotel facilities as a stopover near to the airport

A little dated, but a clean appearance. The mattress on the bed was very very uncomfortable, we both woke the following morning with spring indentation marks down one side of our bodies.

"This hotel was quite up to my expectations,it turned out the same as the description given on its website, which was nice. So I was pleased." (99075609)

It is well located, clean and the staff is nice.

The breakfast could have been richer, more range of bread and fruit.

"The dinner was only so-so." (46787262)

The room was large and comfortable.

The television was a bit small and antiquated. A light bulb was out of order, but the staff took care of it quickly and politely. Otherwise, fine.

"I might have been put off had I known that there was some training course or conference on at the same time. This did not affect us in ny way however, except for all the people smoking outside the front entrance during their free time. The food (both dinner & breakfast) was very good. The manager and all the staff were very helpful indeed, willingly arranging a cooked breakfast at 7 a.m., before the normal time and co-operating in every way. This is a very pleasant place to stay, and I am glad we found it." (99118064)

Clean, spacious, quiet (as requested), room & facilities serviced very well both days. Room outlook across gardens and trees. (Room 250).

"firstly my booking online was never received according to very scruffy night porter . picture of rooms would have been nice. I am in the tourist trade myself on the island of crete and would never dream of charging anything near that amount and offer far superior standards. would like to say that breakfast was very nice especially coffee once the waitress finally decided to serve us." (99091596)

    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

smelly damp room, cheap and nasty beds, lack of toiletries in bathroom.

"I booked this hotel on behalf of a colleague and with no previous knowledge of the hotel. The main requirement was convenience for Stansted airport for my colleague the next morning. Limited feedback from my colleague indicates the hotel was satisfactory and there were no problems. Other than that I have no basis to comment on the suitability of the hotel except that my first impression was favourable - location and friendliness of reception staff. I have entered 'fair' in sections where I have no actual experience(i.e. not as the person using the facility)." (99274929)

    Good sized room

Pearse House is more a conference centre than a hotel. The breakfast is geared towards conference delegates, not guests. Pleasant staff, but I don't recommend this one. Pound for pound probably better off at the Days Inn just up the road.

The ambience, same price as HolidayInn types much double the character and attention to detail.

"Very attractive hotel. Good service. Pleasant staff. Good accommodation. Nice breakfast. Only draw back was the tired mattresses and the slippery floor when coming out of the shower and the slippery surface of the shower tray whilst showering. Safety handles would have been helpful in the shower and for stepping out onto the laminate floor. This is not a complaint but a suggestion." (3305218309)

    Large room and spacious bathroom.

Being on the top floor with no lifts and being a mature couple having to climb the stairs with our cases.

"This is a great place! I was overwhealmed after my exhausting but wonderful holiday in France. I was tired and dirty and felt really refreshed after a hot bath in the clean bathroom and relaxing in the spacious bedroom. This is luxury! I stayed for only one night but my breakfast was served at 6 a.m. and I was picked up by a taxi to take me to the airport. That was a great start of the day! I would definitely recommend it." (3304931218)

Spacious room with clean bathroom, nice authentic building

Noise after flushing the toilet, especially disturbing during the night

"A wedding was on at the hotel which we were not made aware of which lead to the restaurant not being open in the evening. However, the receptionist was extremely helpful in recommending local restaurants & directions." (3305050883)

Neat & tidy, value for money.

Cooked breakfast started from 08:00 and we would have liked one earlier. However, a continental was available.

"The staff were friendly, accommodating and attentive. I stayed in the annexe which was quite quiet but rather warm - the weather was warm but there was no safe way to cool down the room as my bathroom window opened on to a fire escape which fellow guests were using as an outdoor seating area. Breakfast was buffet style and very good." (3305077152)

Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Functional, study-bedroom accommodation with wet room style shower

    Room was rather hot
