Lloyds of Chester, Chester - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel looked appealing - the gust house part was no where near the same standard." (107862115)
The main hotel seemed clean and inviting but we stayed in the guest house next door. The breakfast was good.
Main hotel: short staffed during breakfast. Guest house (family room): smelly, poor furnishings, poor washing facilities, luke warm water, no heating.

Lloyds of Chester, Chester - Reviews & Ratings"We were most satisfied with the standard facilities, the breakfast and the service we received and would certainly use the hotel again." (107177584)
Excellent reception by the owner of the hotel and this continued throughout our stay. The room and facilities were very clean and well presented. The shower room/toilet, although in fine order, was somewhat cramped and a little dificult and uncomfortable to use by anyone with restricted mobility.
Parking space was extremely limited.

Lloyds of Chester, Chester - Reviews & Ratings"My wife and I have stayed in many 4 & 5 star hotels in the past. We were quite suprised by the freindly manner of the staff on our arrival they made you feel at home right away. There was nothing that was to much for them to make your stay happy and enjoyable." (107230365)
We found the staff very freindly and most helpful in assisting us to enjoy our stay in Chester. The food and service were excellent, as was the manner in which the room was kept during our stay.
The only bad point was the lack of parking.

Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly
En suite facility was v small, which was not a great problem with our 1 night stay but would be an issue if you stayed longer, and doors throughout hotel seemed to slam a lot.

Lloyds of Chester, Chester - Reviews & Ratings"Generally, Lloyds was a pleasant experience, the staff were courteous and attentive and responded without delay at requests to fix things. It's in a good location if travelling by train, but not so good if by car as there is little parking. The bathrooms/shower rooms are curious plastic rooms which are barely big enough to squeeze into. However for the price I would think twice about staying there again with others, however it was good enough for my stay." (97822192)
Large room, comfortable bed, flatscreen television.
Heating didn't work very well and wasn't available all day (it was 4c outside), shower bracket was broken and the hotel bar was closed as it didn't have a licence and the promised wireless broadband wasn't available.

The hotel was excellent and very clean and only 5 minutes from the town centre. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic although the bathroom was a bit of a squeeze as my boyfriend is quite tall! but this did not affect the enjoyment of the stay in any way. There was a good choice for breakfast.

Lloyds of Chester, Chester - Reviews & Ratings"The room was lovely, but the ensuite was very small. We enjoyed our stay overall but the lack of sleep from other guests arguing into Sunday morning was annoying." (97837736)
The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and the leaking cistern was dealt with promptly.
The only down side of our stay was other guests staying on our floor who were arguing and slamming doors for over an hour at 2am in the morning. We did hope someone from reception would have asked them to be quiet but it continued.

Stayed overnight for our wedding anniversary, lovely room, very clean, staff welcoming. excellent breakfast.
i was dissapointed on the friday night as we had been out for a meal and thought it would be lovely to have a drink at the hotel as the weather was so bad, there was very little stock in the barr my husband had a can and i had bottle of lager. (nothing else available. Although the hotel was lovely and warm the bar area was really cold, no lights on and unwelcoming.

Lloyds of Chester, Chester - Reviews & Ratings"We would probably not choose this hotel as a location to stay in the future, although the hotel was clean, and obviously had a lot of money spent on it in recent times and the staff we're friendly. The ensuite units let the place down, not for us." (97239183)
Friendly staff, warm clean accomodation 10 min walk to town centre, overall good value for money.
The en suite facility was, different. One of those purpose built units installed in the room, this was not to our liking and was cramped.

Lloyds of Chester, Chester - Reviews & Ratings"Very good and would recommend it, but I strongly suggest they sort out the heating during winter months" (97837887)
Great reception and very friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome. Easy access to local car park as well (which was very cheap)
The building was stone cold when we arrived as they only turn the heating on after 18.30. It was pretty cold all through our stay. Tiny bathroom was also a bit of a let-down, but for only 1/2 nights this isn't really a problem.

"Pleasant hotel a short walk from the centre of town but near railway station. Appeared recently refurbished to a good standard. Very attentive, friendly and co-operative owner. Good value for money, better than the nearby anonymous chain hotels." (108498011)
Good location, neat and tidy, helpful owner.
awkward car parking down a back street, bathroom 'module' tight for space but perfectly adequate.
