"I enjoyed my stay, would have appreciated longer opening hours of the pool." (108119229)

Nice rooms, breakfast, pool and sauna. Friendly staff.

I was disturbed by a music party in the pub. Food quality in the pub was poor.

    hotel clear and food good

although we were given an upgrade the room we were given had so many beds that there was no room to actually sit down. When I asked for the sofa bed to be put down I was informed I would have to wait for 2 plus hours. On speaking to the supervisor we were then offered another room. On check out the bill was £10 higher than I was quoted on line, again this was corrected. Overall we were not impressed with the service provided by the staff on reception and will probably not choose to stay in this hotel again.

"Had a really nice stay at the Mill Hotel. The breakfast was good,as was the evening meal. The only reason we only ate in the restaurant once out of 3 nights was the fact the restaurant was not air conditioned and it was too warm in there. They did have fans but they were not used." (108760898)

Hotel was very well placed for visiting Chester. Only a 5 min walk to the centre of Chester. We liked the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacussi.

Not really a bad point but the housekeeping although really tidy and clean needed finer detail in the room.A glass was found by us in the wardrobe with a contact lens case which was still there when we left. The windows didn't open very far so could not get any air into the room, the room was very warm.

    "Very nice hotel" (108585365)

Nice atmosphere, good variety of food options. Entertainment and location.

The room had a frosted window so we could not see out of it. The sheet on the bed had a hole in it. We paid £75 for the room but it was obviously on of thier poorer rooms as I have stayed at this hotel before and not been disappointed. It is worth paying the extra £8 for a better room!

"British hotels don't need to present this "run down" air we are usually pleased with our accommodation." (107849776)

Quite good location for walking into the city. Good parking. good range of sports facilities.

Very small room, rather shabby with minor broken equipment. Sheets too small for bed. Generally rather "tired" accommodation, bar gloomy and smelly.

"A bit disappointed as room was so basic and a bit below Club standard. Would have booked the Champagne Room but it was not available." (107724610)

The staff were very helpful and friendly. My husband enjoyed the pool and leisure facilities, also the real ale bar.

I don't think the room was up to Club standard - there was limescale in the toilet and one of the lamps was very dirty and stained. Also room rather dark and stuffy. Booked the room as a treat for my husband's birthday and was a bit disappointed with the overall standard of the room.

We are both Directors and have high standards. Following a meeting with Bank of America we proceeded to your Hotel. Just excellent.....surroundings, room, staff, food....great. A special thank you for the Restaurant Manager. He is a tremendous Ambassador to your organisation. We would employ him tomorrow ! The food was excellent...

We were travelling without lap tops....long story ! Would have been useful to have an Internet service.

    "Good on the whole." (107126358)

Cleanliness, location of hotel, Standard, Staff attitude and willingness to help.

Our standard double room was right above the front door which was annoying when people went outside to smoke and also we were woken up by sound of taxis and cars arriving late on Sat night/early hours of Sunday morning. This was the only negative aspect of our stay.

Ideal location five min walk from town centre.

Our only complaint was on friday and saturday night there was a disco with a D.J. till 2 in the morning. We felt that the D.J,. was in the same room as us. Disco too loud. Be aware alot of stag and hen do's sat night so nowhere to go for a quiet drink.

    "Very relaxing and comfortable" (97354181)

Excellant leisure facilities and a good sized bed room. Hotel bar sells real ale (some brewed specifically for the hotel) and the bar prices are very reasonable. Bed was very comfy

Wireless only works in some rooms but ours had a broadband cable. Parking is difficult but ask at reception as they have a number of "hidden" car parks!

"This is a popuar and well run hotel. Rooms are comfortble and decor in good order. Showers are hot and easy to use. Facilities are of good quality. The sports facilities, especially the 60ft pool are among the best I have seen. A staff member was at the poolside, not always the case in hotels. Approach by car is a bit tortuous but this has more to do with Chester's traffic plan than the hotel." (97056346)

    The leisure facilities

The bar areas can be a bit crowded at weekends.

    the room was nice.

we were in the newer block on the fourth floor which was a treck up stairs accross a cold bridge and a lift.if we had more luggage to carry i would have needed another night to recover.the public bar was small and over crowded with nowhere to sit at anytime.we ended up walking into chester to have a relaxing drink.we think the cost of the stay was expensive.

"If you're going to use the gym, pool and free internet then reasonable value. If you're not you'll probably wonder why you paid what you did for what you got. Top floor best avoided for tall people - too many low beams." (97829511)

Free internet use, excellent pool and gym

Old bathroom. Reception undergoing noisy refit.

    Comfy bed

We stayed in room 239. The room itself was well equiped etc however I think 2 areas let it down: 1) There was a strong smell of damp in the room, 2) THe sofa was so worn that there was not support in tbe base making it uncomfortable to sit on

The personnel at the reception area were very nice and most helpful. They arranged for some requests (like baggage storage for a few hours) with smiles and were most pleasant in all our dealings.

    Nothing in particular.
