Shower was appalling - shiveringly weak. Also wood rotting behind bathtub. The greasy cooked breakfast was grim.

Easy to find
Shower bearly worked. Tiles in bathroom hanging off wall due to mould, accomodation decor and facilities very dated and overall very poor value for money, inability to cater for a vegatarian breakfast despite specific request at time of booking.

Friendly staff, clean and tidy, good location.
Asked for upper floor did not get it. The floor boards of the room above creaked very badly and the people in the room above us kept us awake all night, walking around. There was also some random plumbing type noises?

we arrived earlier than expected but this was not a problem as our room was already done and waiting for us
not exactly a bad point but there was 3 of us ok my daughter is only 4 but there was only 2 cups for drinks and in the bathroom only had complementary shampoo and bath gel for 2.

Made to feel welcome on arrival, room ready and tidy, excellent breakfast, helpful staff giving details of bookings and making them for attractions in the area. Theses were made available at slight reductions. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Enjoyed stay so much that we booked an extra night.
None really, except the shower could have been a bit more powerful - which is nit-picking a bit considering everything else.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, convienent parking,comfortable bed
carpet needed cleaning especially under bed and units. plaster cracked around ceiling light, could'nt adjust shower position, pot luck as to whether the toilet would flush, television position on wall not ideal, though did'nt try to see if could adjust.

Excelent breakfast and very friendly staff.
Room decor tired. Heating worked badly. Advertised WI-FI in all rooms was wrong as it was in public rooms only. Unfortunately I required access in peace and quiet for study which was the reason I booked this hotel.

Really good breakfast. Easy access from motorway. Only 10-15 minutes walk from centre of Chester. A frequent bus service passes the hotel if needed.

No Internet (wifi)reception in family room, but was available in Front desk area and dining room (however, these areas were not open 24x7). Bathroom could be cleaner, some mould on tiles/grout. Room size just OK for 3 people for overnight stay, but would not be large enough for extended stay. No reading lamps by bedside.

Breakfast very good. Staff friendly. Room warm.
Room a little dated. Bar not open? Disappointed that the request fro Shoppers special was not delivered. If we had been in a 2 bed room this would have been automatic.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was bigger than expected.
Expected WiFi access in my room, (as advertised on website) but was only available in the hotel lounge/reception, (which was comfortable and pleasant so no great shame.)

Hotel rate was expensive compare with other B&B near this hotel.

Excellent included breakfast, good heating, safe free parking, easy access to Chester town centre, sufficiently off main road for traffic noise not to be obtrusive, flexible access to motel style rooms.
Not the cheapest hotel, but excellent food and good staff may make it the best choice.
