Westland Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Very good! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly." (107810911)
The hotel was a bit older so had some character and the staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. It well situated.
London was unusually hot and the room was not air conditioned so we had all the windows open, which made it very noisy due to the traffic. It was not the best value but the price was a fair exchange for the location and service.

Westland Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Not a pleasant experience. We will not stay in your hotel again, nor recommend it to others." (107173389)
The gentleman who was on duty when we arrived was charming. The breakfast was excellent
Uncomfortable mattresses Hard, low quality pillows Staff ignored requests for new pillows, we were not allowed back in our rooms for 40 minutes on arrival back at hotel under the pretext that they were cleaning the room properly - we had not complained about the cleanliness, and there was no difference when we entered the room. Thereafter we had no hot water. We did not complain, as we had learned by then that any requests/complaints would be met with an insincere apology and no action.

Westland Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was very clean & the full english breakfast was superb. The staff were very friendly. Would certainly consider staying there again. There were four females in our party and we wanted to stay in one room. The family room was huge with a separate bed each." (97884638)
Very accessible to tube station. Central location. Good breakfast.
The only thing that was lacking was a hotel bar but this did not spoil our stay.

Very handy to 2 tube stations; very helpful, pleasant reception staff; clean, good-sized rooms; quiet
Water pressure problem on the top-floor meant the shower wouldn't work. But we were able to use the bath.

Westland Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"The staff made our stay really pleasant. It would have been convenient to be able to get a drink when returning to the Hotel after a day out, but this was not a great problem. Having the choice of two tube stations so close was a real bonus and allowed us to cover a wide area without too much trouble. It was really nice to have a room overlooking the park as well." (97403996)
Particularly the friendly helpful attitude of the staff but also the convenience of the hotels position.
Not exactly a dislike, but it is slightly old fashioned.

Westland Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Excellent breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff." (97656493)
Spacious, quiet room, comfortable bed.
Bathroom a bit tired; Wash basin plug mechanism broken; no tumblers for drinks in the room; room could have done with a better hoover (hairs and bits of fluff)

Overall a good stay. Appreciated the double windows! No noise from the street, and also good against the cold November nights!
No dislikes. (Except some people next door who did not understand hotel etiquette: no very load discussions, no knocking on doors late at night...)

Friendly and helpful staff
No air conditioning which means the rooms are too hot at night. Also customers need to be advised that the hotel is within the congestion charge area.

I had no issues with the quality and cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the beds, or the hotel in general. I would stay there again no problem. I just wish they had internet service this was the only thing missing!" (99539603)

The hotel was charming and our room very large and well equipped. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating.
I was disappointed in the breakfast. Toast, juice and coffee was included but was not very substantial. A bowl of porridge or cereal in addition would have been nice.

Westland Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel description gave the impression that there was a pull - in area to stop before parking. In fact you have to stop on a very busy road -difficult with 2 people, impossible with 1. Staff were willing to help carry in luggage however which was very helpful.Parking is some distance from the main hotel entrance and rather precarious - they scraped someones car while moving it out to get ours out.Having said that the hotel was very good value and very conveniently placed." Friendliness and efficiency of staff - particularly the breakfast waitress who was delightful.
Bed was very hard and uncomfortable

Great location. Directly located across the street from Hyde Park and only a two minute walk from the Queensway Tube Station and four minute walk from the Bayswater Train Station. Several nice restaurants and pubs within a five minute walk. The breakfast that is included with the room is excellent.
Lack of air conditioning. Even with the fans that are available on request, the rooms during the Summer months are quite uncomfortable.

Great Location if you need to be in or around the west end.
The Staff are limited. They try hard but just don't have the tools. Breakfast is from 8am onwards, so if your a business traveler book your meal in advance.
