Basic but clean accommodation and an above average water pressure shower that worked and had hot water!
Noise of underground vibrating through the hotel, not too bad on the 1st floor though and I managed to sleep.

Location to Paddington excellent. Hotel setting on Norfolk Sq., very nice. Hotel was very clean and neat. Staff was excellent and helpful. Breakfast was superb.
Bathroom somewhat small. A lift would be nice.

The entire hotel is very clean, and has lots of charm. Very high ceilings in the room, and even a small fireplace (non-working, of course). The receptionist at check-in was very friendly and helpful, and the location is a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station in what seems to be a clean and safe neighborhood.
Due to the thin walls, and creaking floors, we could hear guests in the next room arriving and walking around in their room at 4am. The ensuite bathroom appeared to be a "drop-in" prefab unit, similar to that in an airplane or train car. While fine for an overnight stay, it would be very cramped and difficult for an extended stay.

Staff very competent and pleasant.
En suite bathroom very small and basic. Toilet didn't flush. Dead found mouse under one of the beds when we were about to leave on the last day of our stay. Live mouse crossed our path us as we were leaving to check out. Didn't report this as receptionist was busy with other guests who were checking in.

Staff were helpful in the checking in and out process. It was easy to find and well situated near the tube and buses.
The bathroom was small - felt claustrophic. The hand basin had a crack in the sink.

Friendly helpful staff, couldn't do enough. Good breakfast. Bed linen immaculate and the bed super comfortable.
Had scaffolding outside my room, for building work. The room above must had a leak and the stain was still on the ceiling.

The only good point about the stay was the breakfast was very good.
There were a few bad points (1) was the room was very small and dingy not what was shown on the web site. (2) The ensuite was so small it was impossible to shower in it and also not possible to use the toilet with the door shut.(3)The bedding on the two beds was very old and due that my sister and i slept on top of bed.

The condition andf equipment in the room as in TV etc were all of a very high stsndard. Shower was lovely and the breakfast was the best I have had in years.

The staff at the breakfast room was great. Location of the hotel is excellent.
The room was a bit dirty... at least the cover on the bed felt awful. Bathroom was really tiny and one day there was barely warm water in the shower.

Got locked in room in the morning - problem with door (and couldn't double lock it from inside the night before). Room 17A - small room in the basement.

Some noise from underground trains, as bedroom was in the basement. Very poor reception for mobiles in bedroom. Window latch broken. Curtains didnt fit full width of window.

No bad points but the room was failry basic in decoration, poor television reception with only teresstrial TV. Lacking facilities we are used to - but perhaps the price was too low for these? One item - sink tap poured water over the floor! Angled wringly and came out forcefully too easily

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location for doing the touristy things in London. We felt very at home here and would come to the same place again!! Breakfast was well cooked and there was plenty of it!
