Excellent checking in process, first impression was very good. Room was very spacious and clean. The seaview was outstanding. Breakfast was lovely, infact i cant say anything bad at all. It was the best hotel I have stayed in at Brighton.

Excellent location, room was large, great help from reception
Booking was confusing. When we tried to book directly on the Umi site there was no availability. Then we tried through a booking agent type web site and get a room so that was strange. Breakfast was confusing, what was availalble, how you ordered and what was available. But lovely when it came to eating it!

The hotel is close to many nightspots and most of the guests seemed young (ie were probably there to go out and party), so if you're staying at this hotel over the weekend and you are a light sleeper, pack some earplugs with you." The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The room was big and the bed comfortable.
The shower leaked and was quite low down, especially as one of us is over 6ft tall.

Returning at 3pm, we were told that the only floor available was the first. Luckily, the lady on reception managed to find us a room that happened to be a seaview room. Not sure how the size of this compared to the non-seaview." (108596020)
Friendly staff on recption, room very clean, great location, although no car-parking on site, this was just a street away so not too bad. Nice breakfast.
Some of the wallpaper etc was peeling off. Lack of amenitites in the bathroom eg. no body lotion

the room was very small indeed. THE toilet didnt flush very well the hairdryer didnt work. The room was stuff and hot. I was disapointed.....

We found the staff friendly and helpful, and were pleased that the hotel was situated in such a nice area. We fully intend to stay in the future.
The breakfast was very slow, and when it arrived it was cold. But again, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice quiet room, clean and well equiped.

Great location, impressive room standard with brillian shower etc. Great beds and duvets.
Drilling woke us up at 8AM saturday morning, which was very bad. But after a call to reception it stopped withing 5 minutes.

The free safe in room The bar and dining area were well decorated and had a relaxing feel. Bed surprisingly comfortable for a hotel. Tea making facilities very good. Thanks for the biscuits.
Heated towel rail in bathroom didnt work. Outside of windows very dirty. No Dvd player. Not essential but would have come in handy. Revolving door difficult to access on arrival with suitcases.

everything we needed for our family weekend break.Staff all very helpful, nothing too much trouble,anything we asked for was sorted almost immediately. The sea view was really nice too.
very close to the nightlife, and was a bit noisey.You need to be early rather than late for breakfast as some things can run out.

Location, value, environment. In the last hotel (UMI) we particularly liked the feeling of space. staff very helpful, outstanding in a number of ways.
Quality of Staff varies from the different hotels.This is a very important aspect in terms of repeatable business. There is the training aspect but also the quality of recruitment. Overall I would like to see more up-to-date provisions for breakfast in particular. personally, I dislike the idea of breakfast as an option (it's an add-on).

We particularly enjoyed our bay windows which gave us a fantastic view of the ocean/sky/full moon/ pier as well as the street action below (Room 208). It was very entertaining. The "dancing receptionists" were particularly helpful and one young receptionest went out of her way to get us booked in for a third night. Compared with some on receptionists we have encountered on this trip, I'd rate yours as excellent.

The staff, hotel and service was excellent could not fault it. Plenty of tea and coffee in the bedroom and extra bonus was buiscuits
The toilet in Room 205 did not work very well, had to pump the handle
