when i booked on-line, i thought i was to be staying at ur hotel in the middle of cardiff, untill we got to the reception, and then they told me!because that hotel was full, it went to other hotels web site, without me beiong aware of it. may be it was my fault for not noticing, but i think it should have been pointed out to me at the time.

Clean, modern
Thought £150 was very expensive for a room only - we could have got the same facilities and cleanliness at a Travelodge for much less.

Staff were friendly.
The battery to operate the key acces to the room was not working and we had to return to reception twice before being allocated another room as the fault could not be rectified. However the staff did say that the last person booking in would have to live with the fault as they were fully booked. Room rate was high (£150 a night) but I assumed due to the high level of need as a concert was being held at the stadium and hotel rooms were scarse.

Park Inn Cardiff North, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"Good stay, except for breakfast." (107826432)
Newly refurbished rooms-very nice. Easy to get a taxi from front desk- designated phone, fast response.
Breakfast was poor. Very diluted orange juice. Awful tea and coffee, which was in flasks, and not served at the table. Tea towel used for drying mugs was then used to wipe floor and put back beside mugs. I complained and it was removed.

Quiet, clean, recently refurbished, very convenient for the main roads and access to Cardiff and other towns which I had to visit.
I could not turn off the air conditioning completely and there were no instructions about this in the room.

Hotel is well located and in good repair; staff were pleasant.
Major Point: No one answered the disabled alarm for one full hour after it was signaled from our disabled accessible room. Lesser Point: The wireless internet connection doesn't work from room 020; service from lobby failed for 24 hours as well.

Park Inn Cardiff North, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"all factors considering, i probably wouldnt stay here again although i thought the staff were lovely and the room was very nice- comfy bed is a must and they provided!! Unfortunately due to the very expensive food we didnt eat here but the drinks we had were dirty. Not a total loss but probably not worth the money" (107578999)
The room was lovely and shower was excellent! staff were friendly and hotel was accessible for all nearby attractions.
the spa facilities were old and not particularly attractive. i have never seen such a filthy leisure facility offered as a perk of staying in a hotel. We had some drinks on the sunday morning and the teapot, cups, spoons and milk jug were all very unclean. Also, the bar menu was too expensive for what it was- ridiculous prices

Clean room, excellent show with hot water. Free parking. Not far from bus stop for short ride into town.
No 24 hours room service. Called asking for hot food at mid-night, as advertised on menu. Was informed it was sandwiches only and ham and cheese were the options available. Very long time to answer the 'phone.

Park Inn Cardiff North, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"I wouldn't advise my worse enemy to stay at your hotel unless they were profundly deaf and/or desperate." (107782984)
Staff polite and facilities in room good
Exterior of hotel(excluding reception area)uninviting, especially the car park. Insufficient staff working on reception desk, especially during check out times. Sound proofing between rooms and especially the corridors very poor, as I was kept awake during the early hours by drunk lads hammering on doors and shouting. Not impressed by an extra £50 being added to authorisation at check in, so refused to use quick-check-out facility for fear of being "accidentally" overcharged. House staff should state who they are on the first knock of the door, not the second or third!

Park Inn Cardiff North, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"Food was generally good, and rooms were of a good standard. Checkout was a problem, in that the wromng rate was charged, and additional items added that had already been paid for. Staff on check out did not seem to know what they were doing." (107922145)
Work was being undertaken in the hotel, making it very difficult to gain access to and from our bedroom.

Park Inn Cardiff North, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"The cost of £190 for one night without any breakfast was very high for a hotel which was not situated in the city centre. If breakfast had been included I would have considered it a more reasonable cost. Breakfast at £11.50 per head was also very expensive. " (107961901)
Hotel was clean, rooms nice and fresh looking.
There was a strong smell of paint/smoke in the room. The room was also very cold and we were unable to adjust the heating. Some of the milk provided in the room was gone off.

Park Inn Cardiff North, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"Some refurbishment still underway. Bar area looks a bit desolate, grubby glass-topped tables, a broken pool table and bubblegum machines. Uncomfortable blue plastic seating. I hope it will be much better when all the work is finished - and please heat the bathrooms." (107923272)
Easy to find. Recently refurbished room was spotlessly clean. Nice Sony TV with Freeview, excellent picture. We paid £60 for B&B for 2 people - I would not pay any more. Fixed price menu for dinner was OK. Comfortable bed. Really quiet.
Miserably cold bathroom. It all looked very nice but the overhead shower had to be tilted to avoid wetting my hair and then the shower screen was too narrow to prevent water spraying over the floor. No wardrobe, just some hooks which could not accommodate a full-length coat. No drawer space. All looks pretty 'designer' but clearly practicality has been sacrificed. Below average breakfast.

Excellent evening meals at the restaurant were the highlight of the stay. Staff were helpful at all times. Restaurant staff - fantastic.
Due to the refurbishment going on in the corridor below there was a permanent draught that came in under the door of the bedroom and kept the room cold throughout the stay. Also there was no lift access to our floor due to the refurbishment work.

Park Inn Cardiff North, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"I was hoping for a higher standard all round, but having said that the staff were very friendly and efficient and the fact we had a new room made a massive difference." (107614508)
The staff were very friendly, and the room service food was good. We were staying in a newly refurbished and modern room which was a real bonus
When we arrived the corridors were littered with trays of old food which guests had put outside their rooms after having room service. Some of these trays were still outside rooms when we left the next day (along with dirty laundry) - this really was not pleasent and made the hotel feel quite cheap. The general decor is very tired and needs modernising. The building work is very obvious - we took the lift to our third floor room, only to find when the door opened we were met with a sheet of plasterboard blocking the opening and a hand written sign telling us not to use the lift! Breakfast was poor - cold food that had obviously been sat for a while.

Although undergoing refurbishment, hotel appears "tired". Considering the out of town location, the room was relatively expensive.
