availability on the weekend of the bournemouth airshow
We arrived at the hotle at 1345 and had to wait for 15 minutes until 1400 so we could get out room key. The room was very old, very worn and very basic I woiuld NOT choose to stay at this hotel again in the future

Good value for money, just what we wanted, clean comfortable beds, clean room and a good breakfast to set us up for the day. The staff were almost not noticable going about their work, just how I would expect them to be, quiet and efficient.
Some basic painting round windows would be a good idea, lots of flaking paint in our room.

It was in the centre of Town
The shower did not work and the bath had not been cleaned in fact the room had hardly been cleaned at all you could see the layers of dust under the bed!

easy to find. had parking facilities. check in quick.
seems to be lots of residential foreign guests. The venue is dated and could do with a refurb but is clean and adequate for an over night stay.

Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was close to the town centre and not that far from the sea. Our bedroom was of a good size, with a very comfortable large bed. The meals were delicious and we were allowed to choose exactly what we liked from the buffet, on an 'all you can eat' basis. The complimentary bottle of wine on day 1 too, meant that we received amazing value for money.
Sadly only one lift was working, but that was not a great worry to us.

Staff all excellent - from the reception who helped with advice on parking, to the night porters who gave me tea when I had a painful back, and the cleaners who readied our room promptly as requested, to the reception on the phone whom we checked with before booking online. Thank you.
Buffet Breakfast - the fried eggs were dried up, and the ones which were kindly brought out when we asked for more were litle better. Are they cooking them ina microwave/convection oven?

Excellent buffet breakfast. Taxi rank right outside hotel which was very useful.
Both lifts were out of order by the end of our stay.

staff were very helpful.breakfast was extremely nice with plenty of choice. the location is central and easy access to the town centre.
5am we were woken by the group of boys in the next room. They were very loud and every word they said could be heard by ourselves including the discusiion of sex and drugs which lasted a couple of hours.

Breakfast buffet very good, parking also good.
The hotel was to noisy and had a couple argueing overnight. This was going on from 2am to 5.30am and several people complained. I really need to recieve some form of compensation to benifit my stay. Inner room of the hotel very drab and in need of total decoration. 1 Lift out of order for 3 days.

Very good value for money and great location
The refusal of the staff to accept our cash for payment simply because it was from our bank in Northern Ireland was disappointing. The notes had quite clearly stated on them the word 'sterling' but were still unacceptable. As a result we had to go and find a bank nearby where they exchanged the notes for English 'sterling' notes immediately without problem! Does the Active Hotel Group have a policy of accepting only English notes? If so, then this should be made clear on your website so that visitors from Scotland, N Ireland and the Channel Islands are aware before they arrive. Your staff told us that they were under instruction from Head Office to to accept 'Foreign Notes'- but as I'm sure you know N Ireland is clearly a part of the UK as is Scotland.

Specious and a bright dining area on ground floor and outside cafe.Generous amount of buffet style breakfast.A jet bath in the room.Good size of room for 2 person.
Some dirty black spots around a bath.Stains in a toilet bowl.Bathroom's small areas to be cleaned more properly.Fridge in the room wasn't really working.Room was poorly ventilated and slightly hot.
