The staff were very nice and very helpfull

As i am in my 66th year and i was on the top floor and there was no lift i would not use the hotel again

    "Worse than poor." (107761217)

    There were none!

Room was horriffic - bed comprised two singels pushed together, of different heights and firmness. Staff knocked on the door in the morning almost an hour before check-out. The entire stay was faceless and below par. The room was far too expensive for what was delivered.

"Overall acceptable. The stairs were a bit tired but the room was fine and comfortable. " (107266782)

    Breakfast was excellent

The shower was painfully feeble and there seemed to be no way to get the cold water going so after putting hot in the bath we had to fill up the cold from the basin using a waste basket. We were pleased though that when we mentioned this in the morning the breakfast charge was waived.

"Adequate - but not pleasant - to be honest it was a business trip but you would not wish to stay for any longer than you had to. I had stayed there last year because it was convenient to the conference I attended but I would not choose to and did not enjoy the stay" (107180801)

Room looked modern, clean and the fittings were smart and in good condition.

Mattresses on what appear to be new beds were poor and old - most uncomfortable. Pillows were like old puddings - not good. The shower was VERY VERY poor - VERY weak and on the second morning only produced very tepid water. The strem was SO slow it would have been impossible to fill a bath in an hour. I did report this to reception when I checked out and was told that it would be fixed for the next person - not much good to me. It really was inadequate and the screen of the shower was static half way down the bath which meant that you could not reach the taps and plug hole anyway.

Convenient location for the wedding we attended, otherwise we would have checked out. Breakfast and restaurant service. Car parking available

Given appalling room on arrival - erroneously termed 'executive'. Insisted on room change: left us to explore the hotel ourselves and choose a better room from a most restrictive choice of 2 and then move our luggage ourselves with no help. No manager available to help or apologise. Second room, while clean and modern was incredibly tiny, eg shower room door could only half open to the bed, hardly any room to stand and had to move chair to open wardrobe. Room was overlooked by others a matter of feet away. A disgrace. An awful experience irrespective of the cost and being in London etc

"It was an ok stay but not comfortable in the room" (107111819)

    Clean & friendly

No air conditioning - very warm day when we stayed and the corridor outside was extremely warm which made it worse. The bathroom had an angled roof and so it was not possible to use the shower as a shower as it was impossible to stand up in.

Flexable check in, Clean room, car parking a big plus.

Could hear others talking and television (into early hours)from ajacent rooms, Bar meals could be better, one curry was hardly edible. Over charged for breakfast, did not realise until we had left.

    "See other comments here." (97287405)

Nice size room. Good location. Good value. Had iron/board in room.

Bathing was a trying experience. No shower. Tub had a handheld shower wand, but the tub is located in an alcove with a sloping roof such that you cannont stand. So, have to squat or sit in a small tub to shower. Was hard on my 40 yr old body, so I can see it being really difficult for older or infirm folks and just plain uncomfortable for everyone.

"Ideal placed hotel for Twickenham Rugby ground, close to Underground and overland train facilities. Easy access into central London. Good variety of restaurants in locality." (97694433)

The room was clean and well presented. The temperature of the room was appropriate and could be managed to suit tastes. Bathroom facilities were excellent, providing a high quality shower and bath. Although next to a main road, there was no disturbance from outside.

Poor storage -limited wardrobe space for hanging garments.

It was very clean. It was an easy walk to the tube. The internet service in the lobby was always accessible.

We are fairly tall people and couldn't fit in the shower in an upstairs room but they graciously switched us to a downstairs room which was much, much better. We had alot of trouble regulating the water temperature - it was either extremely hot or cold, but we would always eventually get it figured out.

Nice presented, clean room. Courteous, helpful staff.

Not impressed by large horse chestnut tree in front of hotel. I know it was one of those things but a large conker decided to land on my forehead as I was leaving the premises on Friday morning, which left a bruise. We were a little disappointed that when visiting the bar area, which was completely empty, and enquired if the tv channel could be changed to watch the sport we were told we had missed the match, which we hadn't so returned to watch the match on our small tv screen.

It was convenient for the event that we were attending. The room was comfortable and the beds were comfortable.

It was very hot and we had to have the windows open which meant that we could hear the planes to or from Heathrow. The shower was very volatile i.e. it went cold and then very hot.

"I think guests should be informed if they are in a room above a party room and be accomodated in another room that would not be as noisy. I had been at a course and doing an examination and could have done with things being a little quiter." (99689797)

It is conviently located near the transport system. It was clean and functional

My room #20 was directly above a party room and there was a noisy party on ONE night and it was impossible to sleep until the party ended. The room was warm as the weather was warm and the bedclothes were inapporpiate for the weather, for me anyway

The decor and cleanliness of the room. The very well kept gardens. We also the liked the art work on the walls connecting the two buildings. Parking facilities good.

TV very small and had a poor picture.

"I'd stayed in the hotel twice before, and so knew what to expect. I recommend the Oxford room to anyone!" (99749877)

Super room (suite), and all staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was first-class. It's withing easy walking distance of tube.

One minor irritation: the basin tap had very low pressure and I couldn't get the water completely cold, and the shower temperature seemed to oscillate between too hot and too cold.

Heating controls faulty, shower cabinet mouldy, noise from other rooms was disruptive.

It was close to the tube and train stations.

We booked an executive double room but the room was tiny. Mu husband is over 6ft tall and he could hardly fit into the shower as it as so small.

"While car-parking is a bonus in London, complete lack of lighting leaves you feeling vulnerable at night. Public areas very nicely done, but the two rooms I had were truly shabby by comparison. Hats off to the architect who managed to fit a toilet, sink and shower inside a closet in the cramped twin room I had. Breakfast was adequate but service was poor. Only it's location saves this hotel." (99668004)
