The BEST location in Arcos without doubt. A view to die for - Magical!!! Arcos is a charming and magical hilltop white village with ancient narrow streets and as much character as any place in Andalucia. The hotel (a former convent) has bucket loads of charm and character too. Book a room with a terrace and you will be amazed. The room itself is simple but charming, but worth every Euro just to sit on the terrace, perched on top of the world and enjoy a great breakfast with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside.
Not really any bad points but you must be aware of certain facts: Arcos is an ancient hilltop town not built for the 21st century so if you plan to drive all the way up to the top you may not find anywhere to park and you may find the drive somewhat "challenging"to say the least!!!. If you park in the lower reaches of the town and decide to walk up to the hotel, especially if you have luggage, be prepared for some of the steepest road ascents in Europe. It would be better to take a taxi up to the hotel unless you are super fit and are prepared for a tough challenge (Seriously!!!).
