La Vieille France, Paris - Reviews & Ratings"O.K for overnight stay as close to Gare Du Nord. A bit pricey for the room which is a bit old. Everything is in working order so can't complain much. I won't mind staying there for a sight seeing holiday when you would be out for most of the time but definitely not for a romantic one as the room with be a passion killer." (97332834)
Close to Gare Du Nord. Lots of restaurants near by.
Lift very small and only to 5th floor. Had to carry luggage up to 6th floor which is a loft conversion.

Handy location, realy amazingly nice, friendly and helpfull people manning the reception!
Don't expect too much, it's fairly clean but a vacuum cleaner could do wonders.

very friendly staff, close to train station (coming from Paris CDG, it took us only 40 mins from the airport to the hotel) and different metro lines

Close to Gard du Nord and reasonably priced.
This was december and we had to turn off all the radiators and leave the windows open, wow it was hot. The plumbing, when other rooms use their appliances is incredibly noisy. Take a pillow with you. They only have a bolster, fixed to the bed and about the size of a generous baguette. NO ENGLISH BREAKFAST AVAILABLE!!!!!!

From previous reviews, some said it's noisy, some said it's quiet. Now I know why, the rooms facing the street (Rue de La Fayette) are *extremely* noisy. There are a few inner (quieter) rooms. So your mileage may vary. Bottom line - you can buy better rooms elsewhere at this price." (99768125)

the cleaniness was quite good and the staff were quite helpful
there was alot of noise from the passing traffic, during the day and night. the front doors shut at 1.30 so it was not possible to stay out any later than that time.

the accomodation was friendly and clean, however there was no parking at the hotel, but there is a carpark just around the cornor
nothing, although i wouldnt stay there with my partner.

Hotel is in a rough section of town. Breakfast not included. Restaurants in the area are very expensive.

room was big and also rest room was comfortably big and included a bath tub!!!
because the area is bustling ,i reccomend to put more plants and flowers in the rooms and the entrance,also breakfast could include more ingredients ,this alone will put the hotel on a higher level.

Location. Clean Sheets and towels.
Dark rooms could be properly lit. Dirty old carpets could be replaced. Dirty walls could be repainted.

Eventhough it was an older accomodation it was quite clean, bathroom and sheets in particular.
Smoke...asked for non-smoking room, but the odour was quite prevalent.

Friendly staff, comfortable and warm room
Terribly noisy from external road traffic. Windows were double-glazed but not well sealed.
