Hôtel De L'abbaye, Poix-St-Hubert - Reviews & Ratings"Couldn't wait to leave" (107268001)
It was central in the town
The hotel smelled horribly of stale chips and cigarette smoke. Our room had a spray-you-all-over shower which must have been leaky as the smell in the bathroom was stumach-churning. This made our room smell. Plants on the windowsill were covered in bugs. Half the curtain rings in the childrens' room were broken which made it difficult to close the curtains.

"We didn't have high expectations of the hotel and we were not disapointed" (108822844)
There seemed some language difficulty - the staff didn't always understand our school boy french. The big plus was the owner picking us up from the station at Poix St Hubert as there are no buses after 17:30. Breakfast was good. The ensuite bathrooms are brilliant with multifunction shower cubicles unfortunately the bedrooms could now do with a makeover to get them up to the same standard.
Although regarded as entertainment by our party some may have been put off by the fight between a female staff member and a local woman on the saturday night. Although they add atmosphere the stuffed animals are old and dusty and should be replaced.
