Hôtel Belazur, Calais - Reviews & Ratings"We had only booked to stay in the hotel for one night. Thankfully we had no need to stay longer and would have moved hotel if we were going to stay in Calais any longer. " (108625227)
The Staff were fantastic - they were very helpful and friendly. Prior to booking we had not reserved a parking space. The staff found us a secure parking space in their locked garage immediatley upon arrival. They tried their very best to provide a comfortable stay - but this was impossible due to the disrepair of the hotel.
The room was grim. The carpet was badly worn, wrinkled and coming away from the edges of the room. The grout in the bathroom was black. The shower didn't work very well. There was no shower curtain. There was a 'public lavatory type toilet paper dispenser' instead of normal toilet paper. The bathroom sink pedestall was loose. The sink was cracked. The bed had hairs in it. The tramps rummaged through the rubbish outside our bedroom window during the night keeping us awake. The breakfast was over priced for what was on offer. Luke warm tea and coffee did not go down well !

Hôtel Belazur, Calais - Reviews & Ratings"Good location for the price. More consideration for guests required by cleaning staff." (107323394)
Central location.
TV didn't work properly. Shabby condition of room/carpet. Very noisy. Cleaners start cleaning the corridors early morning, and talk very loudly. Woke us up, after a late night.

The hotel should have been redecorated and equipped years ago, The carpets were dangerous and were old 20 years ago.The bathrooms needed retiling, new equipmentand flooring

Hôtel Belazur, Calais - Reviews & Ratings"We stay here and like the ambience" (107812069)
This hotel is ideally placed for Le Place d'Armes and on Friday night you wake up with the bustle of the market just outside. The rooms are clean.
The fittings are 'tired' but they say they are refurbishing. The price has also gone up quite considerably since the new owners took over.

Hôtel Belazur, Calais - Reviews & Ratings"Very well placed hotel and good value for money. You get what you pay for but this hotel was about four times cheaper than we would have paid at the Holiday Inn." (107877049)
Friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast.good view from rooms facing the square.
The decoration in the hotel is sad; having seen better days.We asked to be moved from our allocated room because the lights did not work properly. Staff dealt with our request very well.

Hôtel Belazur, Calais - Reviews & Ratings"The web site should make clear there is no food avaiable after breakfast, and then go on to say the hotel has a frontside view of the Square which the Hotel bar looks out onto, with 3 quality restautants,Irish Bar and cafe within 50 meters which are Square facing, then go on to say with 100 to 300 meters futher attractions are close at hand (Casino,Marina other eating establishments). The location of the Hotel is at present its top asset, and should be emphasized" (99404109)
Clean, value for money and within a 50m from cafes, restaurants, bars, shops and town square, excellent location shops
It took 2 or 3 minutes for Shower Water to heat up, but this is a minor inconvenience.Prefer toilet roll to toilet single sheets

The Dining room was excellent with a spectacular room-sized sit in fireplace. Breakfast was good value. Staff were friendly and helpfull, reception and bar pleasant. Plenty of clean towels
Rooms ready for modernisation, mold in aging bathroom, window has no means of fixing open.

Hôtel Belazur, Calais - Reviews & Ratings"I would have liked to have known there was a club below the hotel - so we could have avoided staying at the Belazur. The staff were very nice and apologised for the excessive noise, but basically they were unable to do anything about it." (99575095)
The positioning of the hotel was very good, right in the centre of Calais and a short walk from the beach. There was also some limited garage space available for the car
The bedroom and corridors were very scruffy, and did not appear to have been decorated in years. Ripped carpets, mouldy ceilings and tiles in the bathroom. Main problem though was the disco/club directly below our room. The banging music went on until 1.30am and did not quieten down until after 2am. We asked to be moved but were told the hotel was full.

Hôtel Belazur, Calais - Reviews & Ratings"overall the hotel was in the ideal location in calais for our needs and the breakfast was everything as described in the reviews upon the web - site visited and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to use this hotel if they require a hotel in calais that is close to the port and the local bars and restaurants, altogether a brilliant place to stay" (99496946)
everything
the shower/bathy had no bracket to use it as a shower & the changeover control had the facility missing so we were unable to take a proper shower
