Hotel Le Cottage, Bruay-La-Buissière - Reviews & Ratings"For the price, it was fine, but on a cold winter's night and with a great deal of travelling both behind and in front of us the lack of an in-house meal was a real bore." (107894937)
Clean, effecient and met the accomodation need of our brief stop-over
Disappointed that the restaurant was not open, despite the publicity on the web-site. We should have been warned and it would have affected our decision to select your hotel.

Easy to find. Clean and tidy.
Disappointed not to find tea/coffee making facilities. Stayed Monday night and having travelled all day there was no restaurant open.

Hotel Le Cottage, Bruay-La-Buissière - Reviews & Ratings"Overall very satisfactory, but a mistake was discovered only days before our arrival for one of our party requiring a single room for two nights, which was only reserved for one. This was later corrected due to a cancellation " (97406365)
Breakfast was of extremely high quality, and much atention to detail, refilling milk jug/coffee etc
Room was a little small, no opening window, and not decorated with light coloured paint, hence rather gloomy and dark. No English speaking TV Channel

Clean and convenient for the motorway. The owners had obviously tried very hard with the decor and finishes, which were very nice.
No meal services on the night we stayed, although the restaurant looked very nice. No secure parking (we were travelling by motorcycle). No night staff. Room was very small.

Hotel Le Cottage, Bruay-La-Buissière - Reviews & Ratings"A pleasant overnight stay and convenient for the ferry terminal at Calais." (97134473)
Good room, well equipped and very clean. Helpful staff and a lovely restaurant.
Lock was broken on en suite bathroom so door kept swinging open. We had a room on the ground floor near the exit door to the outside and near the door to the dining area and we were disturbed by both doors banging early morning.

Hotel Le Cottage, Bruay-La-Buissière - Reviews & Ratings"A friendly hotel with helpful and polite staff who made you feel welcome. The breakfast was adequate and followed the current trend in a lot of French hotels in this price bracket. The evening meals were very good and well presented. On the down side the lack of a lounge/bar area meant that if you were in the hotel for any length of time you were confined to a fairly small bedroom." (97051188)
Very clean & modern looking, very friendly staff.
No bar or lounge to relax in. No tea or coffee facilities

Hotel Le Cottage, Bruay-La-Buissière - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel responded promptly to booking request and provided useful information about procedure for late arrival. Hotel reception accommodated all our requests regarding rooms and meals. Very friendly welcome. Good food in restaurant and prompt service. Rooms clean and comfortable. Ideal for an overnight stopover but wouldn't stay longer as rooms quite small and only basic essentials provided. Reception and restaurant not open until 8am at weekends so, as we were leaving early, we had to check out the night before (which wasn't a problem) and had to forego breakfast. As we have two older children, they had to have their own room as family rooms not available." (97459838)
Friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed rooms. Good food.
Website directions to hotel non-existent. Hard to find.

Hotel Le Cottage, Bruay-La-Buissière - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is easy to find. Check in was fast and efficient. The rooms were really comfortable as well as being spotlessly clean. The lady receptionist spoke excellent english and couldn't have been more helpful. Towels were changed daily, the rooms although compact were light and airy with a TV. It would have been great to have had a bar or tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel food was excellent value for money, plentiful and really good." (99697605)
Very clean, friendly, helpful staff. Peaceful, safe surroundings. The food was wonderful, excellent value for money as was breakfast.

Decoration
Small but adequate room. Very narrow shower door--only a third of the width of a small shower tray. Shower head loose, therefore unable to direct properly.

The restaurant meal was very nice
renovation works were ongoing during our stay - stairways had to be negotiated with carpet layers, rolls of carpet and the smell of the strong adhesive. The room was described as a double superior and the receptionist said we had a king size bed - the room was very small and basic with no facilities to make a refreshment and the bed was a normal double size.

I would like to have known prior to our stay that there were not bar facilities for drinks prior to dinner. This however was not a problem as we were served at our table. Overall an excellent choice from our point of view and would recommend as a comfortable and pleasant place to stay." (99516015)

"Room was adequate for an overnight stay, dinner was excellent, great manageress." (107988970)
Warm welcome and attentive staff (the manageress) Good choice on menu good quality food
No bar or lounge area to have a pre-dinner drink or somewhere to relax Only bottled beer available after initially being told they don't serve beer. Poor selection at breakfast but normal for France.
