Banks Of The Faughan Motel, Eglinton - Reviews & Ratings"OK place, but experience spoiled by being unable to open a window at night. Were given rooms on ground floor with full size windows that swing wide open with no locks. Fans are provided to circulate room air... " (107203457)
clean, no-nonsense facility
ground floor rooms have large windows that open fully but have no locks. So have to remain closed at night. Staff don't see this as a problem and provide fans. Noisy water pump system above my room - loud whenever anyone in building turned on a tap. Cornflakes were chewy.

Banks Of The Faughan Motel, Eglinton - Reviews & Ratings"Was convenient and fine, not really one you would return to." (108062943)
Accesible and easy to find, comfortable and clean bedrooms. Friendly.
Shower a little wonky and old, bathroom decor past its best. Reception a bit dowdy and musty. No choice offered for breakfast, cereals already poured in bowl!

Banks Of The Faughan Motel, Eglinton - Reviews & Ratings"I was looking for a place to stay offering bed and breakfast near to City of Derry airport and this motel met my requirements. It lacks atmosphere but it is functional, clean and gives value for money. It is situated on a busy main road in a fairly rural area with nothing much around it. There is a hotel with a bar and restaurant very close by but that is all. For most guests it will be a short stay location as they pass through the area." (99161076)
Its proximity to the airport
The lack of amenities around it

Banks Of The Faughan Motel, Eglinton - Reviews & Ratings"The accomodation was well cleaned but the fixtures and fittings were dated and a refurbishment must be due. En-suite double room was on the small side. The staff/owner was friendly and informative. In a good location with good parking. Plenty of rooms. Until a refurbishment I feel I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone I know - afterwards, Yes!" (3304990638)
Friendly staff. Good location with ample parking.
Tired rooms in need of an update.

Banks Of The Faughan Motel, Eglinton - Reviews & Ratings"It was reasonably priced & comfortable. The room was cosy and warm and the staff were friendly. I don't think it would be suitable for 'staunch' non-smokers because there is a strong smell of smoke everywhere & the breakfast room was very smoky." (99407266)
Close to where we were visiting, reasonably priced, warm & cosy room, nice & quiet.
It was quite smoky & the carpet in the bedroom needed vacuuming.

Banks Of The Faughan Motel, Eglinton - Reviews & Ratings"The room was comfortable and warm, en-suite facilities were good, service was good, breakfast was good, parking was good, and the price was very reasonable. A few small things were less than perfect. Although situated on the main road, the motel was difficult to spot in the dark, so study the map beforehand. The double room was a little on the small side, and one bedside light did not work. There was no telephone in the room, but there was a payphone just outside (and it worked). Overall, we were very satisfied." (3304293644)

The hotel was a friendly and enjoyable experience and conveniently situated. We would definitely make a return visit in the future.
The pillows were rather big and hard for comfort. The bed also rather hard but was not a big problem.

Banks Of The Faughan Motel, Eglinton - Reviews & Ratings"The food and accommodation was first rate and I will be using it again in the future. The lady of the house was most approachable and if there was anything extra that you needed it was provided. The room was well maintained during the stay with plenty of towels. I would recommend this hostel as ideal if wanting to visit the area around Londonderry due to the easy access to the roads and also being close to the local airport should relatives follow behind. The local view was spectacular and made for a most enjoyable stay." (2276901)
The room was spacious, well maintained durng the stay and if you needed anything you only needed to ask. Breakfast was some of the best egg bacon and sauasage I have ever had.
None, met all expectations.
