"Essential to get reception to map-out on town plan the route out of Espinho and back again as this is a tough town to navigate! Enjoyable stay in the main. Car parking added 48 Euros to the bill (12 days)but would not have wanted car left on street. Car parking staff very helpful. All windows in T1 sea view apartment faced the sea: Kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom. This gave real pleasure. Stayed on 11th floor which helped which was great. Advise to ask for one of the upper floors. Lifts slow, quaint and hot: be patient! Access to town immediate. Advise use of value for money rail travel where possible rather than drive. A town not frequented ny many from UK. Heard English accent only twice. Town very much like by Portugese; they come in families of several generations and the feel is great. Saw or heard no antisocial behaviour whatsoever. Great. " (107980368)
Many things right in this hotel. Excellent reception staff, courteous helpful and knowledgeable. Spacious apartment. Excellent for beach and rail travel. Reliable housekeeping each day. Additional cost for seaview was very worthwhile -would not have wanted any other aspect. Lots of storage space and large reception hall to apartment, which we used as our child's bedroom rather than using the living room in this one bedroomed apartment. Nice new SMEG fridge in our apartment. Settled into a relaxed routine very easily.
Rooms tired to my view and give a 70s feel from colours to carpets and tiles; other than that fine. Rooms missing a radio, which is not that costly to provide. An iron in the room would have been nice, but they were available through housekeeping. No sense of catering for those that like traditional tea! Used jug as the pot and kettle needed to be a cooking jug for the electric stove.
