The hotel was basic but clean. Very central to Perth. Good price. Super hotel to use as a 'base' wheather for shopping/nightlife/exploring the surrounding area or for business trips.
Check in was confusing despite my having called ahead to ensure rooms were booked and reservation for dinner was made the receptionist still didnt understand what was happening when my group of 14 people arrived for check in (some in single and some in Twin rooms).

room 319 is in need of decoration as the wallpaper is peeling and cracked in areas.

staff very good and good to chat with.
bathroom had lots of mold. sheets on bed weren't changed in the whole week stay. would have thought at least one change during the week.

Salutation Hotel, Perth - Reviews & Ratings"Very swift and friendly check-in, taxi for next day was booked for me. As an old hotel there are many corridors etc but very well signposted (travelodge take note!). Room was very homely, en-suite obviously an add-on but for a hotel of this age that is expected. Indeed the character of the old building was very pleasant and added to an enjoyable evening. I will be back soon!" (107730037)

The room was small and odd shaped, so that only one of us could get a view of the tv. Small shower, no tub.

All staff encountered were friendly and helpful. Room was cosy, comfortable.
Shower was a tad antiquated. Room faced onto back area where kitchen facilities must have been so a bit of din in the early morning. Woken at 06.45 with a horrendous noise which you could not ignore. Eventually we traced it to a radiator in the bathroom and managed to remedy the matter.

Although general cleanliness was adequate it was noted a previous occupant of the room had spilled sweets on the carpet and these had not been cleaned up fully during my two day stay.

Lovely olde worlde hotel with character. Room excellent and breakfast plentiful
We all enjoyed the breakfast but then it was necessary for all 4 members of our party to make several trips to the bathroom. That was a bit worrying but we were attending a funeral and didn't have time to discuss the metter.

Every clean, great atmosphere,
Only bad point was not keen on the parking facilities for the hotel, had to park in a pay car park which was well out of sight of the hotel

NOT OBVIOUS THAT THE BOOKING HAD NOT BEEN PAID FOR WHEN BOOKING. ALTHOUGH ROOMS WERE WARM THE CORRIDORS WERE RATHER COOL

Nice hotel, friendly staff, room good value for money. Very good breakfast which was included.
Wedding at hotel, function room just below bedroom window. Noise so loud the windows rattled. Fortunately finished at 12am.

Central to Perth
Blood in bathroom, poor mattress, food and general condition of room. Noise from out side, room smelly, key did not fit door, floors creaked, TV not working, lights not working, poor sound proofing (could hear snoring)

Perfect situation, friendly staff particularly the lady in the resteraunt at breakfast. Fantastic breakfast "the best". Good bar and service.
Nit-picking only, decor a bit tired and outside needs painting as looks quite shabby

Historic hotel in a great location. Good staff attitude. Breakfast was abundant and staff were friendly.
Rooms are dark and have poor lighting; a non-working lamp was not replaced in the 3 days I was there. The room was very warm but they did provide a fan when I asked for one. Decor really needs updating.
