Hotel lovely .. room pleasant and clean.
Booked double room, given twin .. hotel blamed booking.com - they said room type was a request and not a guarantee and that it should be highlighted on the website. Manager stated that they had no double rooms available but eventually managed to find one. Manager was relatively helpful but wasn't the best start to our night away!!!

Service and friendliness of staff was faultless.
Hotel was in need of a bit of an update and the single room was very small.

Just a good well run hotel with pleasant staff, a clean and well furnished room and a massive bed. A really massive bed.
None whatsoever. It is a pity we had to leave so soon as our itinery dictated.

Staff helpful and polite.
Waited 1 hour for cold first course at dinner then another hour for second cours and half an hour for cold dessert. We arrived at dining room at 7.30 and got out at 10.15. Waiters apologised for delays. Chef problems?

defective radiator in room kept us awake for the first two nights we were moved to another room after 2 nights we reported the radiator after the 1st night but no action was taken

Nice staff, excellent check-in and check out, nice bar a restaurant.
Small room,uncomfortable bed, thin walls and creaky floor above made it noisy and difficult to sleep.

Insufficient parking. Lack of info re parking facilities at hotel on internet. Noise from adjoining rooms!! was moved to alternative room next day!..Better!

Staff are a hotel's most important asset. The courtesy and quiet efficiency of the staff was most welcome.
The temperature in the room was too warm. Turn down the thermostat by a few degrees, it will also save you money.

We were happy with the standards of the hotel
We ordered sauteed potatoes with our meal and we were given boiled potatoes.The chef said he was new and hadn't got to grips with the menu! We did not think this was a very good explanation and we were a little disappointed.

As it was our wedding night, my mother had paid for flowers and champagne to be in our rrom when we arrived, but they were not there and we didnt receive them until we got back at midnight and the flowers were not in water.

Pleasant location & interesting building close to city centre. Pleasant & quiet room with adequate facilities. Comfotrable bar area with cheerful staff. Very much apreciated the late breakfast service on Sunday Morning
Booking of room did not allow a Double Rooom with breakfast but allowed a this with breakfast. This increased cost by around £12.00 and seemed a little cheapskate.

Think they could serve breakfast till about 11 at the weekend. Also the room maids kept knocking on the doors to get in and clean the rooms when we where still sleeping so why not see who is only there for one night then once we had booked out going and clean the rooms. Not many people will leave a room at 9 in the morning if they have paid for an overnight stay normally you check out the time that you are required too.

"For such a reputable company I was looking forward to some luxury but in comparrison to the Premier Inn the comfort of the room was not comparable.. The interior of public areas and also the exterior was amazing but I would think twice befire booking here again.." (108240885)
The actual building was gorgeous and a fantastic setting. Having the water running through the garden was amazing and I found this extremely relaxing.
The room was small, the bed squeaked so badly abd the divan was not even joined together properley.. The bath had no non slip surface and was extremely dangerous.
