We thought the hotel was impressive and in an ideal situation for the businessman and leisure person alike
We arrived at 1730 hrs on Sunday to find the reception desk unmanned and a notice telling us to press a button on the base of the phone which we did but no-one appeared. When we phoned the hotel number all we got was a recorded message telling us that the hotel desk was manned 24/7! We waited over an hour until a cleaner turned-up who went and found the receptionist who arrived without a word of apology, had difficulty in finding our reservation on the computer and as we discovered subsequently booked us into a single room and our friends into doubles. Everyone else treated us well thereafter but by then the damage had been done and we would recommend that the hotel look at its process for covering rest periods and ensure fully experienced receptionists are employed on Sunday afternoons
