Excellent breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Comfortable bed. Welcoming hosts. Main house had nice decor and seemed good quality.
Annex room small and rather spartan (certainly not boutique); location not very central; shared bathroom not especially nice; WiFi unreliable in room.

Stuart and Paul are two of the friendliness hoteliers I have ever met. They run an absolutely superb bed and breakfast, where both components (the bed, and the breakfast) were done to the highest standard.

Alto-gether this was an excellent place to stay in as everyone was so friendly and helpful.We arrived much later than we expected to but were welcomed wonderfully with a cup of tea and advice on things to do and see during our time,restaurant recommendations and sight-seeing tips.The rooms were kept immaculately with afresh bottle of water available daily.The meals were excellent and the staff were so friendly each morning
None really though would have liked a chair in my bedroom but we weren't in our rooms that much so it wasn't a problem

The owners and staff were very friendly. The decor was lovely. The absolute best part of the whole stay is the breakfast.... utterley fantastic!!!
We stayed in the annexe, we knew that the two bedrooms we had booked in the annexe shared a bathroom, but it was not explained to us that a third room also shared the bathroom and communal areas. It wasnt a problem but it would have been nice to have been warned.

Extremely friendly hosts, great hospitality in every way. The location is pretty good as well, about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Cardiff, but part of the walk is along the river.
A little noisy...the street noise was loud with the window open but tolerable with it closed (but then it gets warm). The shredder in the toilet was very noisy and would sometimes go off in the middle of the night - very disturbing.

Very welcoming and approachable hosts- homely feel to the stay Very good breakfast and evening meal Room comfortable and inviting and with good facilities in terms of TV, hairdryer, kettle etc
Although I knew there was no ensuite I did not expect to be sharing a bathroom and toilet ( with no extra separate toilet) with more than one other room; Without even a handbasin in the bedroom, having to guess when it would be free early in the morning to use the toilet and shower and also after breakfast for cleaning teeth, using toilet etc was a gamble and hopeless if you are in a rush to get out. One bathroom and toilet between 4 rooms is inadequate.

This is a lovley B&B. We felt very welcome even though we were not representative of the guests that normally choose Ty Rosa. Our room was small but perfectly formed and we had everthing we needed. It was also spotless. The breakfast was one of the best we have had anywhere and every effort was made to ensure we had as much as we wanted and when we wanted it. The couple that run it are very friendly and helpful hosts who are happy to give information, maps, directions and so on. They were also keen that we got the best from our visit to Cardiff and took the trouble to ask us if we had found everthing we needed.
There really aren't any. This isn't a big B&B so it feels cosy and homely. The stair carpet will need a refresh soon but apart from that observation it was perfect.

Ty Rosa Boutique B&B, Cardiff - Reviews & Ratings"P&S were very friendly and welcoming. On arrival at the train station (10pm)they arranged to collect us and take us to the B&B. They sat down with us with a map of Cardiff and showed us the areas of Cardiff, where to go and where the stadium was etc even gave us taxi numbers. Four of us stayed in The Keep which was a decent sized room and very clean with everything we needed - bottled water, tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast's were amazing and had a wide choice for everyone. We would certainly book this B&B again - straight friendly! Max the dog is adorable" (97664845)

The warm hospitality of paul and stewart is something we liked and it was like going to our relatives house on seeing their reception. the care which they took to explain the breakfast dishes was also nice to see. good work young guys.
the points we disliked are the size of the room and the rate charged for that size of room. considering the size of the room and with no lift facility, the room rate can be further reduced.
