hotel and leisure facilities excellent.
restaurant food left a lot to be desired, i.e. cold vegetables and tough roast beef. Staff in the restaurant not really concerned to listen to my complaint.

De Vere Venues St. Davids Park Hotel, Buckley - Reviews & Ratings"We were very pleased with the room size and it was one of the largest double rooms we have stayed in. The rooms could have had better sound-proofing and we have no idea why the radiator was making such a noise even though it wasn't switched on and it was a warm evening." (107529764)
The room was spacious and the hotel overall was very clean.
There was lots of noise from adjoining rooms, suggesting that the walls were quite thin. The shower screen in the bathroom didn't fit the bath and so when you had a shower the water leaked ovr the side. The radiator made a constant loud noise even though it wasn't switched on. This lasted until about 11.30pm so not ideal if you want to go to sleep before then. The room was at the other side of the hotel from reception so it was quite a walk.

Excellent parking and entrance and good disabled rooms as I had a broken leg - particularly accomodating in the situation - staff were particularly helpful with finding us food as we arrived very late in the evening

Great pool, sauna, steam room etc. Efficient reception staff.
Bedrooms and common areas in need of a refurb!. Housekeeping very poor.My room had no hairdryer or internet cable & in desperate need of a refurb. Net curtains were very grey, walls were very scuffed & dirty. Piece of cucumber on floor.. Bathroom OK but again, decor very 'tired'. Bedroom furniture was tatty and dirty. Common walkway areas were again tatty. Carpets very dirty and dusty. Breakfast was OK but only OK. dINNER (Sunday evening) was very disappointing. Food was very 'tired'.

Good location and helpful staff
wedding and 18th birthday celebration on the saturday night of our stay that clearly got out of hand resulting in a considerably noisy and unpleasant stay - noisy parties in rooms - mess all over the floors - doors banging and people running up and down corridors until the early hours of the morning and fire alarms being set off at 1-30 - 2 am resulting in us having to stand out in the car park in the freezing cold in the middle of the night and drunken revellers from the party singing rugby songs and trying to destroy the hotel fountain!! finally got to sleep at 4 am after the fire brigade had given the all clear to return to our room before having to get up early for 6 hour drive home to the isle of wight.

staff friendly enjoyed the leisure facilities
we were at the far end of the hotel nearest the dual carriage way. The constant noise from the traffic didnt help when you were trying to get to sleep.we went to the dining room for breakfast to be sat at a table that had been re-laid but not been wiped i might have understood had it been a busy spell but it wasnt there were only three other tables had guests on at the time

No TV in Bar area had to go through to leisure centre to watch TV where temperature was high due to proximity to pool

hotel appeared to be of a very good standard, on first apearance, got even better as you entered the building, 1st class
room was of a poor quality, window handle missing, bathroom had dirty marks on the skirtings, light above mirror was defective, when booking out, was asked to pay

Rooms and Leisure facilities were good.
No booking showed on computer when we checked in. Room was unavailable at the right time. When we ordered lunch the wrong thing came. Service at evening meal was poor. It was slow and the waiter didnt know where any of the meals were supposed to go.

I can only reiterate that we found our stay excellent value for money and the staff were a credit to your company.
No bad points other than a very small point which was the toast machine at breakfast,the queue was that long I gave up, I don't know how much they are to purchase but an extra machine at busy times would help keep the queue down

Very pleasant staff. A clean and 'smart' looking interior. The room was also very good.
My husband wished to use the gym facilities on Sunday morning and got up especially early to do so when it opened at 7.30 a.m. Only it didn't open then. My husband then asked when it would open, was told 'in five minutes' but 15 minutes later he was still waiting so he gave up the attempt.

Great leisure facilities - small gym but despite this all the good multi gym facility were there. Offering a sauna, jacuzzi and the like for the pretty reasonable price, and a decent breakfast, were also plus points.
Mould had got into the lining of the bath - it's not too major a job to fix something like that so it was a bit sloppy for the hotel to be selling that room in the state it was.

Very Central and easy access to the motorway for North Wales and into England.
The Restaurant. Extremely slow service and very limited choice on the menu. Room Service Menu much nicer and better value

The room itself was clean,bed very comfortable.
The room was too hot, we were unable to leave wndow open as it was very noisy.
