Highfield Hotel & Restaurant, Keswick - Reviews & Ratings"As we were the only guests at the time, (out of season period)we were upgraded to a bigger better room - this was at the invitation of the proprietors. There was no reduction in the standard of service/choice even though we were, at the time, the only guests there. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious and waiter service was discreet and efficient." (99055975)
The views from our room were beautiful. The decor and atmosphere in the hotel were very pleasant and welcoming.

The view was absolutly tremendous as well as the dinners which were included in the price and were the best meals we ate while in the U.K.
The three floor climb to our room and the loud T.V. in the room next to us.

Stayed in Woodford Room - a converted chapel - roomy with a lounge area on a raised dias or alter. Spacious and private.
The layout of the room did not give any real views but that was offset by the space etc.

large room with extra large bed and good size en suite. It felt very stately excellent for special occasions

The location was beautiful. The staff were really friendly and quick to serve. They made our anniversary extra special with little touches on the plates and in the bedroom. Food was excellent and very filling. It was so good we ate food we had never eaten in our lives.
A bit too small in the bathroom.couldnt get too peaple in there at the same time.

"Stayed at this hotel four times before, but not for 4 years. Hotel has changed owners. However new staff are all very helpful. They appear to have kept on same chef as the food is still excellent. The quality of the food was the main reason we kept returning and it will be one of the reasons we shall return. The only negative is an almost doubling of the price over past four years. However this is a sign of the times and it is still pretty good value." (97881453)
