The wireless LAN is utterly hopeless making working in the room at night impossible - which had a huge negative impact on my productivity. This is THE most important criteria for me, working away all week - I NEED reliable connectivity as part of the package.

The Pearson Park Hotel, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"Overall a very poor experience." (108938636)
The room smelled of cigarette smoke as did the bedding which was really unacceptable as we had to sleep in a bed that stunk of fags. There was also a stain on the duvet cover, the tv remote control didnt work and even some of the small cartons of UHT milk were out of date and the tea cups required washing before use.

The Pearson Park Hotel, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"Rather bizarre entry code system for late night access, which took a bit of mastering but wasn't needed in the end. The located is located in a nice part of the city up towards the University sector. " (108494945)
Superbly located for Hull City football ground, especially away supporters, who are prevented from walking directly to the pedestrian bridge back to the town centre after the game. By heading straight out across the car park and over the railway line, the Pearson Park Hotel is only a short stroll up Princes Avenue, which has an excellent selection of bars, cafes, restaurants, takeaways and late night shopping supermarkets. Interestingly, home supporters park their cars beside the park so clearly this is a prime location even if travelling by car rather than on foot.
Could not get flow of water to switch from bath to shower head in Room 38. Otherwise, everything fine.

The Pearson Park Hotel, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"We would stay again!" (97476847)
Beautiful location, fantastic friendly staff, close enough to Hull centre and very close to the Princes Rd bars and restaurants as reccomended by Andy the assistant manager.
First room we were given was "very tired" in its appearance, we commented, not complained, while having a drink in the bar and within minutes were given the keys to a fabulous room. Thank you.

The Pearson Park Hotel, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"We stayed here for visitng a sick relative and subsequent funeral. We had three rooms on each occassion. On both stays the other family members rooms were lovely and recently modernised, whilst mine was very tired (broken curtains, smelt of smoke etc) and I asked to move. New room was of same standard as other family members. Staff were helpful in moving my room etc. Staff very friendly and offered to sit with my puppy whilst we went to the hospital etc. Breakfast is good value for money, but you need to be there by 8am. There is no disabled/adapted room, so disabled clients would have to have a wash each day at the sink, rather than climb over into the bath to use the shower. Apart from one room behind reception, all rooms involve using stairs. It may be five or six steps, or two flights of stairs. If you have mobility issues, think carefully before booking. Small car park at front of hotel, and another small one to the rear. Parking is available on the road outside by the park. No fee for parking." (97281138)
Staff friendly and helpful.
Some rooms are very tired, I have changed rooms here twice in recent weeks. Once I moved rooms, I found the shower took a while to warm up, but beds were comfortable.

The Pearson Park Hotel, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"I had booked a single room but on arrival I had been given a really spacious double room with spacious en suite bathroom. It was wonderful. The staff at the hotel were extremely polite, friendly and efficient. I was very impressed and have told a lot of people about it already." (97161081)
It was spacious, had an en suite and lovely views of the gardens.
I wished there could have been a chair so that I could sit at the desk to use my computer.

"we enjoyed our stay very much. All staff very helpful and friendly. We love the layout of the bars and restaurant, very traditional and cosy." (108731100)
We enjoyed the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and staff.
Disappointed with the bedroom and bathroom, both need updating as they are tired and old looking.
