Modern hotel- good plumbing- near French town and Airport CDA
Air Conditioning in room not working properly- Room 145 Hot!!! Restaurant in hotel- Terrible!!! Service in restaurant terrible- Waiter forgot part of order- Food was lousy!! As an example-- wife ordered French onion soup (9 Euros = $14.00)Small bowl of onions with cheese on top and barely any liquid. My turkey platter consisted of tiny pieces of turkey and mushrooms in a terrible sauce. There were other problems which I will not detail, but Marriott should be ashamed. I could not make a scene at the time as I did not want my grandchildren to know.

Good value for money. Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable. Quiet. I would have found it difficult to find except for the signage in the street - well done!
No bad points. It's a 2 star hotel - "not the Ritz" - very appropriately appointed for a hotel of this classification.

Good basic and fine for my needs, felt safe, very simple and private.
The hotel did not have a record of the booking I made on your website. This was really worrying as I was a woman travelling alone towards night and I really didn't want to be stuck without accommodation. Fortunately I called ahead to confirm but it was difficult to find time due to travelling and I really didn't appreciate the inconvenience of having to do so in the first place. It would be better if you could guarentee the booking made via your website.

very clean, good value for money.
Nothing bad about the hotel,just the distance from the train station was a long walk(I have a minor disability, for any one else it would be ok) and I couldn't find any information about buses to the train station. as a sugestion to any one who dont know the area get a map of the local area. perhaps the hotel could display one!

Allowed us to leave baggage at desk prior to actual check in time. Easy walking access to tourist site. Excellent english spoken.
Could use a hair dryer in room. Breakfast was a bit expensive.

Location was good.
Sound protection. From a coridor and next rooms, sounds were coming through as if there was no wall. Amenity were not re-supplied.

especially liked the shower which was lovely and hot also the breakfast
when we arrived, we couldnt get enough information about parking from the young lady on reception, our french was limited and she spoke too fast for us to even try to understand what she was saying about the parking but the young lady on the saturday and sunday was very helpful indeed, obviously due to her speaking a little more english

The room was although small (I believe pretty much a standard for European triples), the condition of the room was very good - it had all ammeneties and it was very clean. Other notes are that the breakfast was very good and the location of the hotel was very close to the Chateau. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Versailles." (3305242766)
The evening staff was excellent. They were kind, courteous and very helpful. As well, they were the best of all the hotels I've stayed at for my entire trip (one of the 6 hotels I stayed at).

If I had to get back again to Paris/Versailles with someone else, no need to emphasize I would contact the Home Saint Louis first since I picked their business card. Generally, clients always come back at the same place, they don't try to look elsewhere if they have been satisfied. That's my policy when I travel through France I always visit the same hotels I have been used to." (3304928617)
This hotel is excellent and has a family atmosphere. At any rate, being used to France, this country is a welcoming nation everywhere even in Paris

The free Wi-Fi internet access. In most hotels the prices for that are insanely high. In this hotel, it was free. Very very nice. Internet access was a normal as a bed and a shower; as it should be.
I like to sleep with the windows open. Unfortunately there was a stopsign right outside my window. So I had to choose between sleeping badly because I didn't get enough fresh air (ventilation was bad) or being woken up by cars accellerating in 1st gear. I tried both and neither was very nice. Also the bed was VERY noisy and the bathroom/toilet needs some serious work.

The most important things for me are a soft matras, a quiet area since I normally sleep with the windows opened and a proper shower. The hotel Home Saint Louis has all this altough the room I had during my first stay had a better shower. Its location is good; when going to the office I do not have to cross the city centre that is usually packed with cars; it is on a walking distance from the market square with many restaurants and also the castle and its gardens are on walking distance. The price is very reasonable. The overall atmosphere is nice although it is obvious that it has known better times...." (3304133463)
The area is quiet which assures a good night rest. The beds are not too firm. The breakfast is very simple, but the croissants and baguettes are perfect.
The bathroom is very old and needs to be renovated. Shower area with shower-curtain is very small.

Hôtel Le Home Saint Louis, Versailles - Reviews & Ratings"I thought despite the worn appearance in some areas, it was good value for money, however one in our group had visited previously and was dissappointed that the hotel had deteriorated since their previous visit. I thought it was adequate for a 2* hotel Breakfast was limited, maybe some improvement in this area would help. Also the price quoted was lower than actual price, and we were also charged a local tax that we had not been aware of until arrival. Rooms were cleaned daily, warm and comfortable. Beds were firm and comfortable. Parking is very limited, and the traffic wardens patrol regularly around the hotel, at least twice a day." (1985644)

It was a wonderful traditional French Hotel in a lovely quiet position in Versaille, convient to the Palace and Train Station into Paris but not noisy . Parking was also very good. There were 5 in our party, from 70 year olds to a 9 year old, the family rooms were ideal, we had a wonderful 2 day stay enjoyed by all. Thank you.
It would have been better for us to have breakfast included in the price of the rooms.

Hôtel Le Home Saint Louis, Versailles - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was a rather charming building in the characteristic St Louis quarter of Versaills and provided basic, clean accommodation. The bed was clean and comfortable and the shower was powerful with lots of hot water. The breakfast room was bright and clean with a breakfast of plenty of coffee and bread and cereal. The big disadvantage is the on-street parking which needs topping up every two hours from the meter. The receptionist was very polite and helpful and topped up our meter so we could visit the chateau. Guests needs some French because the receiptionist had little English, but 'when in Rome'. There is also no lift so put overnight items for your stay in a smaller suitcase." (2495942)
The rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for the powerful shower.
There is only on street parking which has to be topped up every two hours from a meter. The receiptionist was kind enough to do our top-up when we went to see the chateau but this is a problem which would need to be sorted or made very clear on the hotel information.
