Helpful and charming receptionist
A srtong smell of bad drainage water around hotel and environs, and in the room's lavatory. The bar did not open. No lounge area except in lobby.

Perfect location for the centre of Lille - very attentive and herlpful staff - go-ahead young manager who is upgrading the hotel but wants to keep it a 3 star but a very good one / he will succeed

Rooms large clean and nice refurbished marble bathroom
Bar was very nice and trendy. However you felt out of place if you where over 24. Felt they could have had a quieter bar for residents

Our rooms overlooked the Grand Place with balcony doors opening onto the square. The view was most interesting and the windows were well sound-proofed so there was no noise from outside. The bathrooms were large, very modern, with good lighting and marble tiling.
The bath was rather narrow and short so it was not possible to have a proper soak in it. The upstairs corridors and staircases are a little shabby, with carpets that are stained and tired, although the groundfloor entrance area is very smart.

Very central location. Lat minute booking meant we were given a premium room - very comfortable, huge bed, good furnishings. Bar very popular with locals. Slightly creaky lift gave real atmosphere!

Best Western Grand Hotel Bellevue - Grand Place, Lille - Reviews & Ratings"I found the desk staff very helpful and friendly and tried very hard to help. The taxi they organised for us left us stranded (did not pick us up) at 3.00am in the morning half an hour away from our hotel, although this was not effectively the hotels fault when we reported it we didnt feel our comments had been taken very seriously. When we got back after being stranded we could not get back into the hotel despite 24hr reception being stated as available. Hotel carpets were pretty aged now I come to think of it. Otherwise all was either satisfactory or very satisfactory." (99849684)

The public bar attached the hotel was great. Staff at the hotel were pleasant and informative. The hotel rooms which we stayed overlooked the grand place and were very good." (99966040)

bathroom was nice, great location
Staff unfriendly and tried to charge us for breakfasts when we weren't even in the country! They tried to take the money in advance off our credit card without telling us.Also, they have no parking and no deal with local carpark.It cost us 50 euros to park for 3 nights.
