Le Chamois, Alpe d'Huez - Reviews & Ratings"Difficult to find via the one way system. However, a very warm welcome, laid back atmosphere and good food at very reasonable prices, made for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast included made the accommodation excellent value for money. The only minor gripe was the price of the wine which I thought was a bit steep at 12 Euros for the house red. However, I think that that would be nit-picking a bit and if we were ever in the area again then I would try and stay here." (2910077)

Le Chamois, Alpe d'Huez - Reviews & Ratings"Wish I had been more aware of the pub beneath the premises. The noise on some nights was too much. Difficult for sleep at 2.30am when people are in the street shouting and music is so loud. Staff were excellent." (2452945)
Staff were very good. Helpful, informative and friendly
Maybe upgrade the rooms to a better standard?

Le Chamois, Alpe d'Huez - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is well located in the main village near to all facilities and has adequate free parking very nearby. It's not posh but is on a par with most French chalet/hotels that I have stayed in. Potential guests should be aware that there is a lively bar in the basement. This had a brilliant atmosphere and was good value but does have the associated noise element. For us, this wasn't a problem and we hope to book again." (3304133874)

Le Chamois, Alpe d'Huez - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is in a good location for access to the slopes, even if it does take a while to access the main lifts, and for bars and restaurants. There is some noise from the Underground bar at the base of the hotel and the shower in our room was too hot to use. It's cheap and cheerful accommodation." (1517770)

fênetre de chambre était cassé pas de lumière dans la salle de bains pas de l'eau chaud pour 2 jours petit déjeuneur 2 heures trop tards ouvert Bar au rez de chaussée avec boucoup de bruit pendant la nuit

Accès aux chambres un peu compliqué car couloirs étroits et literie pas très confortable

The owners were great hosts and very accommodating. The view of the mountains from the room was spectacular. While a bit rustic, it is a perfect place for a visit to Alpe d'Huez.
