Best Western Grand Hotel Francais, Bordeaux - Reviews & Ratings"On holiday I like an American style breakfast and was disappointed to find the reference to a hot buffet turned out to be scrambled egg. I also didn't like the maid opening the door before she knocked. I would recommend the hotel for its location but not for its ambience. The staff were very friendly and helpful." (97487499)
Good size room, quiet and a comfortable bed. Excellent location in the centre of town.
Too hot, couldn't turn off radiators. Beakfast disappointing - hot buffet turned out to be scrambled egg, a little exaggeration !! Decoration of breakfast room was cold and the ultra efficient server dressed in black reminded one of a prison.

Best Western Grand Hotel Francais, Bordeaux - Reviews & Ratings"Staff were friendly and efficient. And we did enjoy our stay there. We chose the hotel because there was Wifi available. We are going back to Bordeaux again this week but have chosen to upgrade our room type and stay in the Best Western Bayonne Etche-Ona." (97768243)
location, Wifi, air-conditioning, flat screen tv, tea & coffee maker
Small room for the money, shower did not have a wall fitting to attach the head to.

Best Western Grand Hotel Francais, Bordeaux - Reviews & Ratings"This is a great little hotel, very well located in Bordeaux, close to the old city, shopping, the river, the tram line, etc. Feels and looks french; fine european breakfast buffet. We have had great luck with Best Western in smaller french cities, and this one is no exception." (99712310)
Clean, comfortable, 19th century appeal, great location, excellent breakfast -- a super value.

"Directions to the hotel were a little confusing, hotel description did not make clear that it was in the centre of a pedestrian area. Hotels' recommended car park was spot on, but this info could have been on the web page with a more detailed map of the immediate area." (97704994)
Clean and smart
Room very small, double bed too narrow and too short, more like a large single.
