Friendly and helpful staff. Good evening meal
Difficulty in reaching the hotel and parking because of a diversion due to a Fete. Steep stairs and no lift which I found to be a problem because of arthritis in my knee.

We were going to arrive late and informed the hotel. All was well.
Room was a bit tired but clean. Shower was not fixed to wall and had to be hand held which was a bit inconvenient.

The hotel was much the standard I expected. I normally stay in Logi hotels as I find them reliable with good rooms and good food. Staff were helpful and friendly and service was good.
None really, only that there was no car parking facilities but there was a public car park facing the hotel. I would assume this would normally be adequate but when we were there there was a fete and quite a few people visiting. However, we did manage to park eventually in this car park.

Nice room, light and airey, great location, nice big windows in the room that opened fully for great view. close to the beach, plenty of free parking. plenty of places to choose from to eat that are a short walk in the area. The price of the room was excellant value.
Bed was old, making it slightly uncomfortable, could feel the springs. The breakfast was poor value. 8 euros for a 'set' breakfast. Unlike all other hotels I have stayed at in France (and i visit quite a few times each year for around the same price), it wasnt a buffet breakfast. This meant you'd have to ask the waitress. we were given 2 pieces of poor quality pic n mix cheese in a plastic wrapper. 2 yoghurts(we dont like yoghurt) a bit of bread and a croissant. not worth 8 euros- the most expensive breakfast of our stay in France. other hotel breakfasts ranged from 5.50 - 7 euros and were all buffet. The language barrier for us is sometimes a problem, our french is limited- but we usually get by. Here we were having to ask for individual items beyond our vocabulary. we asked for some cereal, which wasnt understood. the phrase corn flakes got us a packet of variety pack frosties. but the waitress went away without thought of how we were to eat them- no bowl or milk was provided. it proved quite difficult to get a bowl. a buffet breakfast would be a far better idea- the guest can just get on with it and far more relaxed.

There food was as usual supurb. We regularly take friends there to lunch and are always happy and complimented on our choice." (99334666)
We stay regularly at this hotel since it was the exact spot where my husbands father came ashore on D Day in 1944 and died later that day. The hotel and staff are very friendly and the food excellent.

The Staff was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms are very clean, fresh and bright. The restaurant is delicious and very reasonable.
The internet service could be less restrictive.

Nice view on the beach, The room was simple, not to fancy, but that was to be expected for the price. Very friendly people, speaking English
bathtub lacked a showercurtain or some shelter for the shower drops, so it got a little wet on the floor. But overal it was quite good. Clean hotel, good food, nice breakfast, top location!

The decor was very old and tired and the beds were old. The bathroom was inadequate and needed refurbishing. We asked to move to a better room which was much better although the shower was not working. I would have to say the new room which was apparantly the best room in the hotel could have done with a lick of paint and a bit of attention to detail. It was at best adequate at worst neglected and shabby. Looks nice on the website brochure but in reality is very tired and dated" (3305148823)

Hôtel de Paris, Courseulles-sur-Mer - Reviews & Ratings"The initial room that we had was ridiculously small - although competively priced it was totally inadequate for two adults. The smell from the hotel kitchen was also an issue. On arrival we were given a room key and told the general direction of the room, and asked if we would be having breakfast the next day. No other information about the hotel or the village etc was offerred to us(i.e. did we have to book a table for dinner). We were fortunate that we managed to change rooms to a larger room after the first night - otherwise we would have left - regadless of the cost penalty that we may have incurred. The hotel rooms are scruffy at best and in urgent need of refurbishment. The biggest issue is external noise - which needs to be addressed by the hotel / local police - it was unacceptable. We ate in the hotel restaurant only once and the food was very good - but I had to wait 30 minutes for a beer to be delivered to our table - and to this day I am still awaiting delivery of some fries that we ordered (despite reminders to the staff). Finally the 7 car capacity car park is a joke - it holds 4 comfortably and 5 at most and whilst we were there 3 places were permanently occupied by staff cars - we therefore had to park in the public parking area in front of the hotel - were the local louts were playing on their bikes and kicking footballs around all through the night. The hotel was fully booked all the time we were there and the restaurant was full every evening (most people were probably on a BB and evening meal package)... so given the level of business that they are enjoying it is unlikely that they will feel any pressure to address the issues that I have outlined above!!! It would be interesting to know how many 'return' visits that they have from clients - we certainly won't be back!!!" (3305023568)

Location - the hotel is next to the harbour car park we were disturbed all night - car doors slamming and people shouting all night, people playing football in the street at 5:00 a.m. etc completely depriving us of sleep.

It was close to the seafront and not far from the ferryport and a good base to explore Normandy. The staff were all friendly but not many spoke English.
The breakfast was not value for money with little choice. The rooms were comfortable but had a slightly worn and grubbby feel to them. The bathroom needed a complete overhaul, the grouting was dirty, there was water leaking onto the carpet and the cleaning could have been better. Not many of the staff spoke English

Everything looked nice on the surface, but after we saw the tub we decided not to eat dinner there and walk down the street. It is in a prime location tho and not very expensive given the area. If I had to I would stay there again, tho I would certainly look for something else first. Definitely ask for a room that does not face the parking lot b/c it was so loud." (3305035257)
Everything was very new and clean. The couple who owned the place were very welcoming. It was right on the water.
It was unbelievably noisy at night with cars and people and seagulls, believe it or not. We are not super picky people, but the sheets were so scratchy that my elbows were actually raw the next day. They also smelled funny so perhaps they were brand new and unwashed. It was also very hot with no a/c (as is the case in most of France it seems). The bathroom was very new and clean but made with such poor quality that the vbase of the bathtub was starting to rot - it seemed almost like cardboard. The hallways were very dark and the lights didn't go on automatically so you had to grope for the lights in the dark.
