The room was clean and comfortable - and the facilities were good.
The map of the location on the website did not match the written directions - but the written directions were clear. There was some confusion when we booked in, but it was soon resolved. Nothing significant - it would have been nice if the TV had a wider choice of English Language programmes - but we were in France!

Easy to find. Close to motorway. Spotless. English news channel on TV. Comfortable beds. Late check in and out times.
Not in a very pretty location but we didn't care because we only slept there!

The deputy manager who looked after us was very courteous. The beds were comfortable.
The diner was below average. My daughter and I had an entrecote full of nerves and fat that we could hardly cut. The meat was . We felt so bad about it that we did not ask for desert in case we were faced with an other bad experience. The waitress serving us was very unfriendly and never smiled. The bathroom smelled awful as if it had not been cleaned properly. I used to be a head housekeeper and I know what standard I should expect.

Clean rooms if a little cramped. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Disappointed with the dinner - quality of cooking could be improved - bar had run out of gin!!

Check in and out was easy and quick, the beds were comfortable and spacious, the bath was a little small, but there was lots of hot water. The food was tasty and prepared promptly. The tea and coffee making facilities, very welcome after a long drive. Also, being able to park the car right outside our room.

Having used Campanile for many years we know we are going to get a satisfactory service and were not disappointed on this occasion.
Regretably, however, on this visit the restaurant was infested with flies - not good with the open buffet bars!

A tourist map of Alencon (town) in each room would be useful along with an indication of the distance to the town centre.

Would have preferred stronger larger cups and more tea, coffee and milk. On the strength of our stay at this Campanile we subsequently booked a night at another - we were disappointed, Alencon was by far the better hotel. Thank you." (2814578)
Parking right outside room was a very good start with no distance to carry luggage. Check-in was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was enjoyable and staff very pleasant. All in all a good choice.
Larger and perhaps china (or more sturdy plastic) cups in the room.

Campanile hotels are consistently clean and comfortavle. The staff are always willing to assist you in any way possible to make your stay perfect.
All areas are good but perhaps improve variation of food.

Problemloseses Rin- und Auschecken.
Das Essen lässt in den Campanile Hotels einfach zu wünschen übrig. Es ist weder gut noch richtig schlecht, aber es ist phantasielos und nicht professionell.

calme, accueil chaleureux et bonne restauration autant le diner que le petit dejeuner. félicitations au personnel
les chambres commencent à prendre de lâge dans certains de vos hotels et sont parfois tristes par le manque de modernisme dans la déco ou le revêtement de sol

"OK. Good bed, good supply of hot water in the morning for shower. Sympathetic receptionist." (107468709)
Kindness of receptionist who dealt with us when we arrived late at midnight. We did advise the hotel via the web site that we would be arriving after 23h00, but this did not appear on the hotel's computer.
The external computerised check in system which we could have used to check in when we arrived late did not work, so we had to wake up the caretaker/receptionist to let us in. Also, the directions to the hotel given on the web site are useless for anyone coming into Alencon from Caen, as we did that night. We spent at least half an hour driving around through Alencon trying to find the hotel. It would also be useful to give an estimate of the travelling time from Caen to Alencon.
