Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"The rooms used on the website did lead me to believe that all rooms would be to the same standard, however the price was reasonable allowing for two adults and children." (107261991)
Very reasonable price and another room provided for children allowed for some privacy. Bed also comfortable.
The room was very small, and the bathroom, the smallest one I have ever used in a hotel. The common parts were in a bad state and in need of re-decorating.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"Central location - value for money - helfpful people." (108069728)
Central Hotel close to restaurants and the harbour - very convenient for Cherbourg car ferry, which was the purpose of our stop-over. Good value for money in clean and tidy room.
Breakfast room decor needs to be refreshed.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"Adequate for one night stay but I wouldn't stay any longer." (97120477)
Bright and clean hotel near centre of town.
Hot water took a long time to come through. Bathroom & particularly separate toilet very small. Door locks need oiling, noisey and stiff when unlocking door.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"We would recommend this hotel for any couple or family that are looking for a cheap, friendly and clean hotel for a stopover to catch a ferry. We would definitely use the hotel again." (99676653)
Family room was just what we needed, good location for ferries and great value for money.
Sounds picky but beds were a bit old and felt a bit worse for wear. Other than that was absoulutely fine.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and the staff seem freindly and we love France and enjoy trying the different restaurants out. Could you not get the authhorities to do something bout the dog fouling in the street outside. That really lets France down." (99354803)
Cheap and near town centre.
People in the room above were very noisy just walking about half the night. The loo was very cramped and the bed was not comfortable. The whole decor of the place seemed tired and a lick of paint would not be missed.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"the hotel was as advertised....however , one room had no facility for hanging or storing clothing , no rail , no drawer and no cupboard . we had to drape our clothes over the toilet door...if you are going to arrive after 10 pm you must phone the hotel...we sent a detailed email to say we would arrive late at the hotel...but this was not enough!!! the manager was in bed when we arrived and if it wasn't for a kind guest we would have been left out on the street for the night..the manager was quite rude in reception...not a happy customer...dk." Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"We were able to find the hotel very easily and it was everything we expected, clean French and near the harbour bars and restaurants whilst being very quiet. The gentleman staff was very courteous and efficient and we will definitely return . We were recommended by a work colleague and we will pass on the recommendation. Carol and Rod Frampton" (99993025)
We arrived off the 9.30 pm ferry and it was easy to find with good directions and very central with good road parking. The hotel room was clean and the atmosphere very French and welcoming.

Parking was difficult and decor was shabby, would also not recommend the breakfast.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel fine for one night stop over where you only require a bed/bathroom for the night, would not recommend it for long stay. Basic accomadation which is what you would expect for the price. Very good design of family room with seperate bedroom area for child. Parking available on the street but busy and luck of the draw if you get a space." (3304413350)
Central location. reasonable cost. family room available
very dated decor. limited parking.

Room was very clean. Staff were very helpful, especially considering the language barrier.
Location wasn't great (back street) considering that we had young children, a little frightening for them. Room was very small. Parking isn't good, but secure off-road parking is offered.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"The staff were friendly but the hotel really needed updating. The room was adequate but no kettle was a shame. Everything was clean but the decor was very tired. It was ok for just an overnight stay as a bed for the night, but would not choose to stay here again." (3304184522)
Clean sheets and comfy beds and looked like they had put a new suite in the bathroom.
The hotel was badly in need of a major refurbishment and updating. The mildew needed dealing with on the bathroom ceiling and around the door. Decoration was in a very poor state.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"On arrival with loaded car/top box/bikes - hotelier tried his best to put us in secure parking, but our vehicle wouldn't fit, but was a nice touch. Ended up parking on street, so parking was insecure. Poor choice of breakfast, if you don't like croisants or french bread. (Might be useful to ask them for a choice of cereal (if travelling with younger children !)- Obviously would up the price a little, but I am sure that parents with young children wouldn't mind." Excellent service - in centre - quite easy to find (with satnav !!)

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"We would be very keen to recommend this hotel but won't because of the attitude of the staff/proprietors. We were not told that the hotel front door was locked at a certain time and had to ring the bell to get in at midnight. The man opening the door was most disgruntled and slammed off to bed without a word. We did not receive a smile from anyone during our stay and won't be returning." (3304588575)
The hotel was comfortable, clean and central.
Staff were not very friendly.

Friendly helpful staff, reasonable family room for 2 adults & 2 children; 2 double beds was a surprise, but manageable. Overall, very functional stop-over." (3304876809)

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel room was clean, beds & sheets immaculate but decor was outdated with the wallpaper stained and old-fashioned. There was only a television in the room and no facilities for making tea or coffee e.g. kettle, cups, tea/coffee etc. Parking was a problem but we paid 7 euros to park in hotels own private garage. Overall it was a reasonable hotel to stay in overnight. Staff were friendly and helpful." (2891834)
Clean hotel and staff were very helpful.
Wallpaper in room looked stained/outdated. No facilities to make your own tea or coffee.

Citotel Hôtel Beauséjour, Cherbourg - Reviews & Ratings"This hotel was chosen more for availablity than cost. The initial reception was far from welcoming. The first room allocated was already occupied. Rooms were fairly small. Opted for breakfast at additional cost of 5.50 Euros per person. Anticipating a continental type breakfast with maybe a choice of cereal, ham, cheese... it turned out to be simply bread and jam with pot of tea." (3304704507)
For an overnight stay it was adequate for the price paid. Clean bedding and toilet/shower fcilities.
Back street location, difficult to find, parking situation, poor reception-not overly friendly, poor breakfast.
