  "Wish that all hotels in France were as accommodating of overseas tourists." (97877556)

  After 30 days and nights in France staying at various establishments, it was a pleasure to at last be treated as an important individual, even if our understanding of the language was not in the top level of expectation.

  "The hotel was a very pleasant base for visiting the chateaux in the Loire Valley. The village was attractive and the Abbey is spectacular. We ate in the three restaurants, all appropriately priced, with good food and service. Reception staff were helpful and always ackowledged you when you walked past- this doesn't always happen in hotels! We would definately stay there again." (3304813819)

  A comfortable hotel with friendly staff. They could all speak English but were patient with me when I tried out my French! Our room was well furnished, rather old fashioned but that was OK.

  Difficult to find any negatives. Our room, on the first floor, was next to the fire escape above the kitchen, and as it was warm we had our window open on that side. The clearing up after a function was noisy and late, ie after midnight. We shut the window!

  "As previously mentioned, I believe the hotel gives good value for money. The family room was very large. The hotel staff were friendly and happy to help." (3304312876)

  The room sizes were very good, with ample room for a family. Value for money was very satisfactory. The surroundings are lovely, and not too noisy. We would happily return .

  Lack of air conditioning or sufficient fans in the rooms.

  Very homey, friendly staff. very comfortable surroundings; good choice of restaurants; breakfast in the morning was very nice; the staff helped us with an american express problem

  no ac or fans in rooms-it was very hot during our stay. no phone in room; no trash cans in rooms, no facial tissue; shower was poorly designed so that water flooded out onto floor.

  "Small but very friendly hotel with restaurant, brasserie and creperie offering a wide choice of food and wine at a reasonable price. Very likeable owner who took an interest in us and made us feel very welcome. Good base for touring but very little in Fontevraud Abbaye itself apart from the hotel and abbey" (2065795)

  nicely locatedin centre of town loveley terras, friendly and easy going atmosphere

  "La seule chose qui me semble à revoir est la déco des couloirs, escaliers : à éclaircir et remplacer moquette par carrelage, par exemple. bilan positif, adresse conservée pour une autre occasion !! de manière générale, si l'accueil est bon, ça y est fait beaucoup dans l'imression générale, ce qui est le cas pour cet hôtel" (2668811)

  accueil très souriant, le cadre (batiment, terrasses extérieures),le petit déjeuner,parking gratuit,

  à revoir la moquette des couloirs et chambre ..

  "Je ne comprends pas pourquoi lors de la réservation il faut donner toutes les données comme pour un achat en direct ce qui fait que l'hôtel n'était pas au courant. De plus il a fallu redonner la carte bleue. Que sont donc devenus les données bancaires lors de la réservation ?" (97066434)

  "The staff hanging out beneath our room caused the smell of smoke and noise in our room (8). The food in the restarant was very nice." (3304896550)

  Location was beautiful.

  The staff smoked beneath our room, there was no Air Conditioning and we needed to have windows open - therefore, our room smelled of smoke and there was quite a bit of noise.
