Blueberry Hotel Braintree, Braintree - Reviews & Ratings"Good hotel" (108459340)
Bright, modern clean rooms with modern facilities. Comfortable bed. Excellent shower. V useful having temperature control.
Bit noisy at night from other presumably drunk residents. TV poorly set up - some standard channels missing. Breakfast overpriced when considered against cost of room and location and fact it's a weekend.

The room was a very good size and the ensuite shower facilities were of a good standard, possibly because they had been newly installed.
The breakfasts were very poor and inadequate for the price charged. On the second morning, we were informed that the Chef had stopped cooking/serving breakfast at 9.15am when it clearly stated that they finished at 9.30am. This was not acceptable and we duly complained to the receptionist on our departure. The cost of the breakfasts were taken off the bill, but this does not excuse the fact that they should still have been serving until the stipulated time. I have eaten in many hotels of this nature over the past few years and I have got to say that this was by far the worst breakfast I have encountered. A full english should be exactly that ie:- Sausage, Bacon, Fried/Scrambled/Poached Egg, Baked Beans, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Hash Browns and Black Pudding. What was offered was paltry by comparison:- Sausage,Bacon, Scrambled Egg and Baked Beans. THIS IS NOT A FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST.
