"Apart from the disturbances mentioned above which was probably a one off, it was a good experience." (107223031)

I booked this room for a visitor to our business. He said a member of the Reception staff went home and fetched her personal phone charger to match the guests phone as he had forgotten his! Excellent service

Guest was woken up in the night by person hammering on the door asking for his girlfriend (possibly under the influence of alchohol) then had to ring reception to stop someone above pacing the floor continually. Not a good nights sleep and this guest was staying overnight at the St Johns as it was close to our business where he was being interviewed the next day.

Food - Breakfast buffet was excellent - even gluten free diet was not a problem.

None maybe air con a little bit noisy however, we did not ask the staff how to switch it off completely.

On booking in staff member didnt direct us to any of the facilities. The facilities were not well signposted There were 3 weddings on at the hotel on the evening of our stay and when exploring the hotel to find the facilities we kept ending up in the middle of a reception and photographs were being taken therefore making us feel very uncomfortable and out of place. We were given a letter which I read upon reaching my room explaining that due to the weddings we were unable to use the restaraunt and bar. I think the receptionist should have explained this to us, not a letter. We were then told we could use another room to have a meal which on inspection was just a plain room with tables and chairs set up, certainly not the expected facilities of a 4 star hotel. I feel we should have been notified of this prior to booking as the hotel would have been fully aware of the situation in advance, giving us the chance to look for alternative accomadation. We felt very let down as we were 2 women on our own, it was late, dark, raining and we were in a strange city so didnt want to have to go looking for somewhere else to eat, and we had left home at 6 am. I dont think I would stay at this hotel again which is a shame as we have got more events booked for the nec, but with such little regard for your visitors I think we will be looking for alternative accomodation.

Good service considering how busy the hotel was due to 3 weddings Catering staff very good Room good & clean

There was some delay in booking in & also when leaving......queuing! plus queue hoppers! Although having to wait to pay, once at the desk it was a smooth service!

Nice entrance hall, bar and excellent breakfast experience.

Reception staff not friendly or informative about hotel or local restaurants. Room had leak in ceiling and was asked to walk back to reception to get another room key for a room which turned out to be 2 doors along coridor from original. Rather a long way with luggage. It was apparent by staff attitude that we were 'cheap weekend' guests!

emailed to say we would be late check in as at Nec all day, arrived at hotel,no one manning the front desk, twin room had not been allocated, had to wait for one to be found and then to be serviced, finally got into roon at approx 12.30am, not very happy.

Lovely hotel, rooms very nice, staff friendly

Travel cot in bedroom! WHY? not requested and would have been most insensitive if I had lost a baby... Hotel not that well sign posted, Warwick Road is a very long road and from a traffic light junction it goes in either direction, so better directions are needed, sat nav does not bring you to the hotel directly only to the road.

It was quiet, clean, the staff were very pleasant and very smart, The breakfast was very good the cooked food looked fresh and a good selection

The fridge in the room was broken but despite notification no action was taken. The restaurant prices were too high and the bar food not as described on the menu and far far too expensive

Even when the room assigned had not been vacated an alternative one was found promptly. Dining facilities were very pleasant

Bad car parking by fellow guest; if your hotel is to charge for the car park even when a paying person, then it is incumbant upon the car parking provider to actively manage the service. In short bad parking can lead to damaged vehicles.

"Hotel very tired - needs updating" (107287374)

Breakfast - good choice food hot Bed was comfortable

Booked an Executive Room but we believe we were given a standard room (charged standard rate but no explanation given) Room set up for one person and welcome greeting on TV Screen was for someone else Decoration poor - wallpaper peeling and stained in the bathroom No guest bar as such due to functions being held - temporary bar set up in a conference room (when we found it and rather office like) Offered private parking but barriers broken therefore anyone could park for free - disputed

function that we were attending was in hotel

hotel claimed to welcome animals and then did not allow them in any of the public areas main bar would have been suitable for dogs, hotel rather shabby particularly the rooms Breakfast poor on friday morning food looked and tasted as if it had been lying all morning although i would have to say was much better the following day

Our room no. 222 was distinctly tired the wall paper was loose on the ceiling and in places the paint work was missing.

"I hae stayed in fair better rooms in the likes of the holiday inn, and the travel lodge, I found you hotel room to be extremly dated and dirty, not worth the £119 I paid for a one nights stay, I definatly wont be staying with you again." (107177773)

When I arrived at my room, I got 2 double beds, I had booked a double bed room. Finally I was moved, then I had no Internet cable, so I phoned front desk to get one, nobody arrived and after 30 mins I phoned the front desk again, I got no answer after waiting on the phone for 10 mins, so I had to walk down to the front desk, and re-request a cable. Another 20 mins past and I finally got one, when I did it was about 6 inc which is a stupid size, and ment I had to use my laptop standing up, as the cable would not reach the workdesk. My Room had a draw unit, and the top draw would not close, this was a danger and a health and saftey problem. Front desk could do nothing about it until the morning.

Well received on arrival. Breakfast was excellent. Staff attitude was very good and very helpful. Check-out went well with no hassle.

Room could have been a bit better, although there was no disturbance, despite there being three weddings taking place at the hotel. The TV could be upgraded, although I understand that this will eventually take place. Lastly, one should check the battery in the remote control for the TV.

Good clean hotel at reasonable price

Website should show house/hotel road number as Warwick Road is several miles long and my SatNav took me to the begining, via birmingham, and we had to drive along looking for a hotel sign. If we had known the number we could have exited the motorway and had only a mile to drive.

Room equipped with disabled bathroom Ramped access for disabled

Not made clear at entrance how to get through barrier - I require glasses for reading, not driving, and could not read the display which said "Take Ticket" Nobody responded to the "contact" button.
