Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Nice shower.
Breakfast was average and a bit overpriced, but it's optional so you can always go elsewhere.

Convenient for the railway station and old town. Good flat screen TV Comfortable king size plus bed Peaceful Friendly family hotel
On an awkward corner for picking up luggage with our hire car. Only one pavement starddling parking bay. Not a big issue though.

The breakfast was reasonable for euro8.5 and the location is ideal between the train station (there is a TGV from Paris) and the centre. I would recommend it unless you have exceedingly high standards (i.e. Four Seasons), and I didn't see anything in the city that might have matched it. Central location
Poor room lighting. Noise from other rooms via air vent. We booked a larger room with a bath but only smaller room was available -price was adjusted.

It is just at the edge of the picturesque old town. It has private parking - a real bonus! It has few frills; our room was not large; the suede-walled room decor was mildly eccentric; yet the overall atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommended for budget travellers." (99058489)

More comfortable beds. Bigger mattresses. More firmness to the mattresses. Lighting that is easier on the eyes.

Citotel Europeen, Angouleme - Reviews & Ratings"Booked on internet and put in a very inferior, hot cramped and smelly room for first night - mess-up with booking apparently. Complained and got a better room for next 2 nights. This sort of thing shouldn't really happen. Manager apologetic and exchanged rooms without fuss and gave me free breakfast and reduced room rate, so obviously a one-ff." (2347329)

The staff was very helpful and patient with our language barriers, very accomodating, the shower could have been easier to use but otherwise the room was fine, I wish I would have realized I was paying for parking up front

Citotel Europeen, Angouleme - Reviews & Ratings"multimap directions on the website directed us to the wrong side of town! completely mis-directed us and we wasted a good hour trying to find the hotel. Locals pointed us in the right direction. On arrival the hotel was closed but fortunately it re-opened half an hour later. I think it was because the hotel was empty and we arrived early. Once in everything improved. staff (one person did everything!) very helpful and friendly. Room comfortable and clean. Self service breakfast good. great location near the historic centre with lots of good restaurants nearby." (1539888)

Globalement, c'était bien.
QQ points négatifs : La déco de la chambre à renover...cf :changer la couleur des murs. Bruit constant : Climatisation? mini-frigo? petit déjeuner correct mais sans originalité.
