Schlossberg-Hotel, Wernigerode - Reviews & Ratings"On arrival we were welcomed into the reception hall where scented candles were burning with fresh flowers in the rooms and in our bedroom. Very comfortable and welcoming" (97570044)
This is a wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Wernigerode. Our room was quite small but comfortable and had a wonderful view over the town. Food both in the restaurant and at breakfast was excellent.
The bed! I know it is Germany where this is the norm but it was two small mattresses in a box. Are the Germans not fond of their partners as it is very dangerous to creep towards them and fall through....

"This was a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff could not do enough for you and were very attentive and helpful. The bedroom was of a good size and in good dececorative order. There is a lovely patio area at the rear of the hotel with wonderful views. They provided a very good breakfast selection and although do not have a restaurant of their own (although they have a bar which can serve alcoholic beverages) across the road from them is a very good restaurant." Excellent size room in good decorative order.
The only small disappointment was that we were ecpecting a 'view of the forrest' which was very hard to see through the windows.
